THERAPEUTIC PRESSURE, THERMAL, AND/OR OTHER TREATMENT MODALITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods described herein include a pressure delivery component that has a pressure applicator configured to selectively apply therapeutic pressure to a treatment portion of a user body, and also includes a thermal delivery component that has a thermal applicator that is a configured to apply thermal treatment to the treatment portion. The thermal applicator may be removably disposable in operative relationship with the pressure delivery component in a use configuration of the treatment delivery component such that the thermal applicator is disposable between the treatment portion and the pressure applicator when the treatment delivery component is disposed on the treatment portion in the use configuration. Moreover, the pressure applicator is operable to apply pressure to the thermal applicator to enhance apposition of the thermal applicator to the treatment portion.
FASCIA TISSUE TREATMENT DEVICE WITH ATTACHMENTS FOR ENHANCED TREATMENTS
A fascia tissue treatment device includes a bar member, at least one tissue treatment element supported by the bar member, and at least one treatment accessory removably connected to the bar member.
Dynamic sauna
Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable IR emitters to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR emitters in a sauna.
Orthosis systems and rehabilitation of impaired body parts
A system for moving or assisting in movement of a body part of a subject, as well as a rehabilitation system including such a movement assistance system, includes a body part interface configured to be secured to the body part, and a motor-actuated assembly connected to the body part interface to move the body part interface to cause flexion or extension movement of the body part. A force sensing module is configured to measure forces applied between the body part interface and the motor-actuated assembly to ascertain at least one of volitional flexion and volitional extension movement of the body part by the subject, among other functions that may be implemented in movement assistance and rehabilitation systems using the disclosed force sensing module designs.
MULTIMODAL DEVICE AND METHOD TO INCREASE THE EFFICACY OF TRANSTHORACIC CARDIOVERSION OR CARDIAC PACING IN PATIENTS WITH PERFUSING RHYTHMS
The invention disclosed here relates in general to the field of medical devices. In particular, to devices and methods for improving the clinical outcome of patients suffering from cardiac dysrhythmias without cardiac arrest. This method and/or device integrates mechanical, pneumatic, acoustic and/or electrophysiologic capabilities with electrical countershock or pacing capabilities such that the probability of successful cardioversion or pacing is increased. The sequence, forces, and electrical properties of the subsystems can be computer controlled and adjusted in response to biomarker inputs.
METHODS AND DEVICES TO IMPROVE THE EFFICACY OF CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION
A system and method for integrating and synchronizing an automated mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device with components of cardiac catheterization laboratories so as to enhance the efficacy of each intervention. Synchronization can include image gating so that a monitor shows real time images during relaxation of the CPR, and a static image during compression of the CPR.
Acoustic therapy device
The present disclosure provides a system for delivery of therapeutic energy. The system includes an energy unit configured to convert the acoustic energy signals transmitted to therapeutic ultrasound directed to fragment tumors and carcinogenic tissue in the body. The system also includes an energy unit configured to convert the acoustic energy signal transmitted from the energy unit to ultrasonic energy to image and monitor the treatment site with ultrasound. The system also includes a control unit including a computer for data storage and display.
Orthosis systems and rehabilitation of impaired body parts
Rehabilitating an impaired body part of a subject such as a stroke patient includes systems, devices, and methods using an orthosis system configured to attach to the impaired body part and to move or assist in movement of the impaired body part. A control system is configured to operate the orthosis system in a mode in which the orthosis system first allows the subject to move volitionally or attempt to move volitionally the impaired body part in a predefined motion and then operates to move or assist in the predefined motion of the impaired body part. Additional modes of operation include a brain computer interface mode of operation and a mode in which the orthosis system operates in a continuous passive mode of operation comprising a plurality of repetitions of an exercise to move the impaired body part.
MASSAGE DEVICE PROVIDING TINNITUS TREATMENT PROGRAM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a massage device providing a tinnitus treatment program and a control method therefor. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, disclosed is a method by which a massage device provides a tinnitus treatment program. The method by which the massage device provides the tinnitus treatment program comprises the steps of: obtaining tinnitus information about a user; adjusting the magnitude of at least some of a plurality of frequency components included in a raw sound source and then flattening the raw sound source, so as to generate a first processed sound source; reducing the magnitude of at least some of a plurality of frequency components included in the first processed sound source on the basis of the obtained tinnitus information, so as to generate a tinnitus treatment sound source; and providing a tinnitus treatment program in which the generated tinnitus treatment sound source and tinnitus treatment massage are combined.
DEVICE PROVIDING NEUROTHERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION VIA MULTI-MODAL ENERGY THERAPY
The present invention relates generally to a device for providing multi-modal energy therapy to treat neurogenerative disorders, and more particularly to a device providing multi-modal neuro-supportive energy therapy to a person via a daily session in a single facility. The device provides safe, well studied energy therapies in a controlled manner to stimulate neuronal mitochondrial activity which powers the brains neurons and is often defective in neurodegenerative disease states. Selected energy delivery mechanisms and frequencies are employed to stabilize microglial activity and promote microglial homeostasis and neuroprotective secretions, including mitochondrial melatonin and other neuroprotective factors. In addition to practicality, the combination of these proven therapeutic modalities into a single device may offer synergies not found when they are employed alone. This focused combination of these unique energy based therapies may offer new hope to slow, stop, reverse or mitigate neurogenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's, ALS and Parkinson's diseases.
