In an assistance apparatus, when assisting a user in walking with an object, a motor generates, in a gait phase of a left leg, a tension less than a second threshold value in a first wire during a fifth period other than a first period during which a tension greater than or equal to a first threshold value is generated in the first wire, and a tension greater than or equal to the second threshold value in a second wire during a sixth period other than a second period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated in the second wire, and generates, in a gait phase of a right leg, a tension less than the second threshold value in a third wire during a seventh period other than a third period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated in the third wire, and a tension greater than or equal to the second threshold value in a fourth wire during an eighth period other than a fourth period during which a tension greater than or equal to the first threshold value is generated in the fourth wire.

A strength assist device includes: a multi-link part including one or more links; a profile controller that is connected to one end portion of the multi-link part, and rotates around a central rotational axis; and an elastic force providing part that is connected to the other end portion of the multi-link part, and provides an elastic force to the multi-link part. When the profile controller rotates and one end portion of the multi-link part revolves around the central rotational axis, the elastic force applied to the multi-link part varies.

The device takes care of most decisions automatically.

In at least some aspects, the present concepts include a method for configuring an assistive flexible suit including the acts of outfitting a person with an assistive flexible suit, monitoring an output of at least one sensor of the assistive flexible suit as the person moves in a first controlled movement environment, identifying at least one predefined gait event using the output of the at least one sensor, adjusting an actuation profile of the at least one actuator and continuing to perform the acts of monitoring, identifying and adjusting until an actuation profile of the at least one actuator generates a beneficial moment about the at least one joint to promote an improvement in gait. The at least one controller is then set to implement the actuation profile.
POSE-ADJUSTABLE RIGID-FLEXIBLE COUPLED WAIST REHABILITATION ROBOT
The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of rehabilitation medical devices, and in particular relates to a pose-adjustable rigid-flexible coupled waist rehabilitation robot. The robot comprises a fixed platform, a movable platform connected to the fixed platform, a lumbar vertebra support assembly mounted on the movable platform, and two support airbags symmetrically arranged at both sides of the lumbar vertebra support assembly. The lumbar vertebra support assembly comprises a plurality of bellow air bags arranged in parallel. By controlling the pressure in a plurality of bellow air bags arranged in parallel, the lumbar vertebra support assembly at the lumbar vertebra position can be adjusted to different curvatures to adapt to different patients, such that the lumbar vertebra support assembly can support the lumbar vertebra part of the patient in a perfectly fitting manner to guarantee the comfort in the rehabilitation training process.
Passive Energy-Storage Exoskeleton For Assisting Elbow Joint
A passive energy-storage exoskeleton for assisting elbow joint is provided, which includes an upper arm unit, a lower arm unit, and an elbow joint unit located therebetween, the upper arm unit is rotatably connected with the lower arm unit. The elbow joint unit includes an anti-gravity mechanism, a coil spring mechanism, and a lower-arm-unit self-locking mechanism. The anti-gravity mechanism generates an equilibrant moment to eliminate the influence of the weight of the arm of the user and the weight of the device on the elbow joint. The lower-arm-unit self-locking mechanism is configured for locking/releasing the lower arm unit at any specified angle of rotation. The coil spring mechanism is configured for capturing and storing kinetic energy generated by rotation and swing of the arm of the user and releasing the energy as required.
REHABILITATION EXERCISE DEVICE FOR UPPER AND LOWER LIMBS
Proposed is a rehabilitation exercise device for upper and lower limbs. The rehabilitation exercise device is characterized by including: a first support supporting a user's hand or foot; a second support supporting a user's forearm or calf; a pair of first hinges rotatably connecting the first support and the second support to each other; a third support supporting a user's upper arm or thigh; a pair of second hinges rotatably connecting the second support and the third support to each other; and a drive module selectively mounted on any one of the pair of first hinges and the pair of second hinges, and configured to pivot the first support or the second support.
Exercise device
A machine that facilitates the performance of physical therapy exercises with or without the assistance of a physical therapist. The device allows a patient to sit upon a table, and connect the patient's body part to a cuff and pulling system. Then, via hand movements upon an article of the device cause body part flexion. Too, a patient can use the device for isometric like exercising via a series of stretch bands that attach to the cuff and table.
ADJUSTABLE PISTON
Techniques and devices for extending a piston and/or compression unit, for example connected to a medical device such as a mechanical CPR device, to accommodate different sized patients, are described herein. In some cases, a piston of a mechanical CPR device may include an inner piston at least partially slidable into an external piston sleeve. In one aspect, some aspects, the piston includes sleeves which can move relative to each other to extend the piston. In additional aspects, the compression mechanism may also extend downward toward the patient. In all aspects, the change in length of the piston may be detected and used to modify movement of the piston, for example to more safely perform mechanical CPR.
