Rotary wing aircraft with a structural arrangement that comprises an electrically conductive connection
A rotary wing aircraft that comprises a structural arrangement with at least one first fiber reinforced polymer component and at least one second fiber reinforced polymer component that are spaced apart from each other by an interspace and that are rigidly attached to an associated structural component, wherein the at least one first fiber reinforced polymer component and the at least one second fiber reinforced polymer component are at least partly interconnected by means of an electrically conductive connection, and wherein the electrically conductive connection comprises at least one sprayed layer of electrically conductive particles, the at least one sprayed layer of electrically conductive particles being provided in the interspace.
DEPOSITING OF MATERIAL BY SPRAYING PRECURSOR USING SUPERCRITICAL FLUID
Embodiments relate to surface treating a substrate, spraying precursor onto the substrate using supercritical carrier fluid, and post-treating the substrate sprayed with the precursor to form a layer with nanometer thickness of material on the substrate. A spraying assembly for spraying the precursor includes one or more spraying modules and one or more radical injectors at one or more sides of the spraying module. A differential spread mechanism is provided between the spraying module and the radical injectors to inject spread gas that isolates the sprayed precursor and radicals generated by the radical injectors. As relative movement between the substrate and the spraying assembly is made, portions of the substrate is exposed to first radicals, sprayed with precursors either one of the spraying modules or both spraying modules using supercritical carrier fluid, and then exposed to second radicals again.
Method and apparatus for controlling cold spraying
A method for controlling gas dynamic cold spraying, the method including providing a particle jet by using an accelerating nozzle, according to a first set of operating parameters, illuminating the particle jet with illuminating light pulses, capturing one or more images of the particle jet by using an imaging unit, and determining one or more velocity values by analyzing the captured images,
wherein the method includes providing two or more sequences of illuminating light pulses during an exposure time period of a single captured image.
Substrate processing method and ionic liquid
A substrate processing method includes forming a film of an ionic liquid on a surface of a substrate, on which a pattern is formed, by supplying the ionic liquid to the surface of the substrate, wherein the ionic liquid has a cation containing a hydrocarbon chain having six or more carbon atoms, and wherein at least one hydrogen atom in the hydrocarbon chain is substituted with a fluorine atom.
Method and system of applying a viscous fluid material to a roofing surface
This invention relates to a method and system of applying a fluid material to a roofing surface. By modifying a peristaltic pump-driven sprayer device, a fluid material having a viscosity of 10,000 to 40,000 centipoise at 25? C. can be effectively sprayed onto a roofing surface. Additionally, the use of a modified peristaltic pump-driven sprayer device allows for the fluid material to be applied onto the roofing surface at a faster rate than other spraying methods.
Device for spraying pressurized material
Spraying heads may be used in spray guns for applying a pressurized aerosol material in the form of jets or spray. A spraying nozzle for spraying a polyurethane material includes a cylindrical body provided, on a first end, with a base having a mounting aperture extending into the cylindrical body, forming a cavity for arranging a head of a gun. The base of the nozzle is in the form of oppositely-disposed leaves. A second end of the body is provided with a cylindrical shoulder, a through-bore of which is communicated with a V-shaped and laterally non-closed recess at the region of an outlet of the sprayed material. Oppositely arranged plate-like protrusions adjoin a lateral surfaces of the cylindrical shoulder. A mounting aperture end which adjoins the base has a circumferential cut. The spraying nozzle is provided with an attachment means used when in an inoperative position.
SUPERHYDROPHOBIC COATING AND PROCESS OF MAKING SAME
An improved superhydrophobic coating and a process of making it is provided herein. More particularly, a robust superhydrophobic coating is produced by using carbon dioxide to enhance the integration of a binder material into the superhydrophobic coating. The carbon dioxide may be used to infiltrate and fill the interstitial voids of a superhydrophobic material, such as diatomaceous earth. Consequently, occupying these voids in the superhydrophobic material effectively blocks other components (e.g., binders) from entering the voids. As a result, the coating formulations of the present invention are more robust and may strongly adhere to the substrates to which they are applied.
BLACK AIR FILTER OIL COMPOSITION
An air filter oil composition is provided for enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through an air filter. The composition includes a first portion comprising paraffinic oil, a second portion comprising polyalphaolefin (PAO), and a third portion comprising black dye. Applying the air filter oil composition to a cotton air filter material causes tackiness throughout the air filter material, thereby enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through the air filter. The composition generally is substantially non-reactive, has an excellent oxidation stability, possesses good thermal stability, and retains a suitable viscosity at normal operating temperatures of an automobile engine. In an embodiment, the composition comprises 96.74% paraffinic oil by volume, 3.20% PAO by volume, and 0.06% black dye by volume. A viscosity of the composition at 100 degrees-C. ranges between about 7.2 centistokes and about 7.6 centistokes.
