POLYPEPTIDE MONOLAYER WITH LOW POTENTIAL AND HYDROPHOBICITY, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION
A polypeptide monolayer with a low surface potential and hydrophobicity. The polypeptide is composed of polypeptide molecules with a molecular weight of (1.48±0.2)×10.sup.5 g/mol, a thickness of the monolayer is 6.2-9.0 nm, the exposure of primary amino groups on the surface of the monolayer is 9.5-15%, a Zeta potential of the polypeptide monolayer is (−3)−(−9) mV, and a contact angle of the monolayer is (61±1°)-(84±1°). The monolayer can be ultrathin, with a minimum thickness of only about 6.6 nm. The polypeptide monolayer can also be applied to the preparation of a biosensor, which is conductive to increase in limit of detection. The content of primary amino groups on the surface of polypeptide monolayer is conductive to controllability of further chemical modification and laying the foundation for achieving controllable grafting of polysiloxane and biological preparations in the later stage.

CHEMICAL DELIVERY CHAMBER FOR SELF-ASSEMBLED MONOLAYER PROCESSES
Implementations described herein relate to apparatus and methods for self-assembled monolayer (SAM) deposition. Apparatus described herein includes processing chambers having various vapor phase delivery apparatus fluidly coupled thereto. SAM precursors may be delivered to process volumes of the chambers via various apparatus which is heated to maintain the precursors in vapor phase. In one implementation, a first ampoule or vaporizer configured to deliver a SAM precursor may be fluidly coupled to the process volume of a process chamber. A second ampoule or vaporizer configured to deliver a material different from the SAM precursor may also be fluidly coupled to the process volume of the process chamber.
Patterning methods and products
The present invention provides a process for producing a surface-modified layer system comprising a substrate (2) and a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) (1) anchored to its surface. The SAM (1) is comprised by aryl or rigid alicyclic moiety species. The process comprises providing a polymorphic SAM (1) anchored to the substrate (2), and thermally treating (4) the SAM to change from a first to a second structural form thereof. The invention also provides a thermolithographic form of process in which the thermal treatment (4) is used to transfer a pattern (3) to the SAM (1), which is then developed.
Hybrid topographical and chemical pre-patterns for directed self-assembly of block copolymers
Hybrid pre-patterns were prepared for directed self-assembly of a given block copolymer capable of forming a lamellar domain pattern. The hybrid pre-patterns have top surfaces comprising independent elevated surfaces interspersed with adjacent recessed surfaces. The elevated surfaces are neutral wetting to the domains formed by self-assembly. Material below the elevated surfaces has greater etch-resistance than material below the recessed surfaces in a given etch process. Following other dimensional constraints of the hybrid pre-pattern described herein, a layer of the given block copolymer was formed on the hybrid pre-pattern. Self-assembly of the layer produced a lamellar domain pattern comprising self-aligned, unidirectional, perpendicularly oriented lamellae over the elevated surfaces, and parallel and/or perpendicularly oriented lamellae over recessed surfaces. The domain patterns displayed long range order along the major axis of the pre-pattern. The lamellar domain patterns are useful in forming transfer patterns comprising two-dimensional customized features.
METHOD OF FORMING A SELF-CLEANING FILM SYSTEM
A method of forming a self-cleaning film system includes depositing a perfluorocarbon siloxane polymer onto a substrate to form a first layer. The method includes removing a plurality of portions of the first layer to define a plurality of cavities in the first layer and form a plurality of projections that protrude from the substrate. The method includes depositing a photocatalytic material onto the plurality of projections and into the plurality of cavities to form a second layer comprising: a bonded portion disposed in the plurality of cavities and in contact with the substrate, and a non-bonded portion disposed on the plurality of projections and spaced apart from the substrate. The method also includes, after depositing the photocatalytic material, removing the non-bonded portion to thereby form the self-cleaning film system.
