The plated sheet plate includes: base steel; a ZnMg plating layer formed on the base steel; and a UV-curable film layer formed on the ZnMg plating layer, wherein a hairline pattern is formed on a surface of the ZnMg plating layer, and the ZnMg plating layer includes 8 to 27 weight % of Mg and a balance of Zn and inevitable impurities.
METHOD FOR PRINTING ON FLEXIBLE LOW SURFACE ENERGY SUBSTRATES
A method for printing on a low surface energy substrate. The low surface energy substrates may be flexible low surface energy substrates. A primer is applied to the surface of the low surface energy substrate using a spray coating system. A pressure pot spray system that oscillates as the substrate passes underneath it on a conveyor system may be used. The primer is then allowed to air dry. Once dry, a printer can be used to print a graphic, design or other ornamental feature on the primed surface of the substrate. Once printing is complete, a clear coating is applied to the substrate and then cured.
Display inserts, overlays, and graphical user interfaces for multimedia systems
A disclosed digital media device operational at user premises to receive media signals from a media source for presentation via endpoint devices such as a television display. The digital media device can include gateway and digital media management functionality and can be referred to as a gateway and digital media device. The device offers application services obtained over a wide area network and a user premises network. The digital media device may form a composite signal from the media signal and application service information, for example, for a composite audio and/or video signal for television type presentation to the user. The digital media device may receive a selection signal based on the presentation, for transmission to the application service provider device or to the media source. The media device also offers a GUI presenting a moveable arrangement of icons for selectively accessing application services.
Coated substrate and system and method for making the same
A coated paperboard (100) comprising: a base substrate (102) having a brightness of about 65 or less measured using TAPPI T452 and a coating (104) on at least one side of the base substrate, wherein the base substrate comprises: one or more opaque layers (114) including a white filler, wherein the opaque layer covers the base substrate so that visibility of the base substrate through the opaque layer is substantially eliminated; a barrier layer (116) covering the opaque layer; wherein the barrier layer substantially prevents aqueous fluids from contacting the opaque layer, and wherein the coated paperboard has a brightness on the side of the base substrate with the coating of about 65 or more measured using TAPPI T452, and a wet brightness drop, on the side of the base substrate with the coating, of about 30 or less, measured using the wet brightness drop test.
GYPSUM PANELS, MATS THEREFOR, AND METHODS
Methods of making gypsum panels, fiberglass mats, and associated gypsum panels and building sheathing systems are provided. In one aspect, a method of making a gypsum panel includes depositing an aqueous liquid containing a wetting agent onto a fiberglass mat, such that the aqueous liquid penetrates an entire thickness of the fiberglass mat, and depositing a gypsum slurry onto the fiberglass mat onto which the aqueous liquid has been deposited, such that the gypsum slurry penetrates at least a portion of the fiberglass mat. In another aspect, a method of making a gypsum panel includes depositing an aqueous liquid containing a wetting agent onto a fiberglass mat, and depositing a gypsum slurry onto the fiberglass mat onto which the aqueous liquid has been deposited, prior to drying of the aqueous liquid, such that the gypsum slurry penetrates at least a portion of the fiberglass mat.
METHODS FOR MAKING GYPSUM BOARDS WITH POLYMER COATING AND GYPSUM BOARDS MADE BY THE METHOD
Methods for making a gypsum board provided with a latex polymer coating layer having a sufficiently low glass transition temperature, a less dense gypsum core layer, and a relatively denser layer of gypsum between the less dense gypsum core layer and the latex polymer coating layer and a gypsum board made by the method.
Roll-to-roll manufacturing processes for producing self-healing electroactive polymer devices
A process for producing a corrugated electrode for use in an electroactive polymer cartridge is disclosed. A laminated web comprising a support sheet laminated to a dielectric elastomer film is positioned. The support sheet defines areas exposing portions of the dielectric elastomer film. A force is applied to the positioned laminated web to stretch the laminated support sheet-dielectric elastomer film web in a direction that is orthogonal to a plane defined by the web. An electrically conductive material is applied to the laminated support sheet-dielectric elastomer film web while the laminated support sheet-dielectric elastomer film web is in a stretched state. The laminated support sheet-dielectric elastomer film web is relaxed to form the corrugated electrode on the dielectric elastomer film portion of the web.
Device for producing coated steel sheet and method for producing coated steel sheet
A device for producing a coated steel sheet includes: a blowing-off unit which sprays a gas onto and remove an excessive coating that accumulates along a side edge of a steel sheet that threads along one direction; and a coating-collection unit which collects the excessive coating removed by the blowing-off unit. The blowing-off unit includes a spray nozzle and a gas supply member. The coating-collection unit includes a duct and a coating container. In a case where the duct is seen in a plan view, an outlet thereof is disposed to fit in and overlap an inside of an opening of the coating container, and in a case where the duct is seen in a side view, a gap is provided between the outlet and the opening of the coating container.
Method and formulations for the manufacture of coated articles and composites
An object with a coating comprising: a) covalent bonds formed by reaction of a thiol group and a carbon-carbon double bond, b) covalent bonds formed by reaction of a thiol group and epoxide group, c) covalent bonds formed by a reaction of a carbon-carbon double bond and an epoxide group, said coating comprising a first primer coating and a second coating, said coating comprising covalent bonds between said first and second coatings, said first primer coating comprising covalent cross links between compounds, in the first coating the fraction (r3=ta/tc) of unreacted thiol groups (ta) to thiol groups which have reacted to form a covalent bond (tc) does not exceed 0.11, wherein the half height peak width of tan delta does not exceed 30? C. Advantages of the dual cure composition is that excellent strength is obtained and that the second curing is slow compared to the first initial curing.
