System for detecting an object approaching and/or impacting electrical equipment
A system for detecting an object approaching and/or impacting electrical equipment is disclosed. The system includes a housing for the electrical equipment and acoustic sensor(s) for measuring a sound pressure of the object approaching the housing, the acoustic sensor(s) disposed at a location at which the acoustic sensor(s) is not in contact with the housing. The system further includes vibration sensor(s) for measuring an acceleration of a surface of the housing caused by the object striking the housing, the vibration sensor(s) disposed at a location at which the vibration sensor(s) is in contact with the housing, and a computer readable storage medium having thereon machine-readable instructions that when executed determine the approach of the object for impact on the housing and/or the impact of the object to the housing.
Single layer scattering of powder surfaces
Methods and equipment to apply a decorative surface on a building panel wherein the surface includes a mix of fibres, binders, wear resistant particles and pigments. Layers may be applied as separate layers with equipment that applies essentially only one of the materials in the surface mix. A method of forming a surface layer on a substrate, the method including forming a first layer of a first material, applying a second layer of a second material on the first layer, mixing the first and second layers into a mix comprising the first and the second material, and applying the mix on a substrate for forming a surface layer.
Multi-layered coated fabric for personal protective equipment
A coating fabric and method of manufacturing the same are provided. A coated fabric includes a base coating layer. The base coating layer defines a smooth coating to resist liquid penetration to the fabric. The coated fabric also includes a middle foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the base coating layer. The middle foam layer defines a middle layer foam density and is configured to absorb at least a portion of liquid. The coated fabric further includes an outer foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the middle foam coating later. The outer foam layer defines an outer layer foam density and is configured with holes to allow liquid to penetrate to the middle foam layer. The middle layer foam density is less than the outer layer foam density. A corresponding method of manufacturing is also provided.
HIGH GLOSS POLISHABLE COATINGS WITH MATT AND/OR STRUCTURED METALLIC EFFECT AND METHOD FOR THEIR PREPARATION
Disclosed herein is a method for producing a multi-layer coating on a substrate including the steps of (i) forming a primer coat layer (P) on a substrate, (ii) forming a silver metal layer (S) onto the surface of the coating layer (P); and (iii) forming one or more clear top coat layers (T) onto the surface of the silver metal layer (S), where the primer coat layer contains one or more particulate components selected from the group consisting of matting agents and structuring agents and where the silver metal layer (S) is formed by reductive deposition from an aqueous alkaline ammoniac solution containing a soluble silver salt, by use of a reducing agent. Further disclosed herein are multi-layer coated substrates obtainable according to the above method.
METHOD PROVIDING A WORKPIECE WITH A THREE-DIMENSIONALLY TEXTURED SURFACE COATING
The present invention refers to a method for decorating a material comprising the steps of: applying a three-dimensional layer (110) by inkjet printing on at least a part of a support (100). Apply one or more of the following layers on at least a part of the support on which the three-dimensional layer has been created: release layer, texturing layer (120), decorative layer (130), white layer (140), colored layer, functional layer, adhesive layer (150). Apply the transferable decoration on at least part of a material (160) to be decorated. Remove the support (100). Reveal the 3D.
PAPER, LABELS MADE THEREFROM AND METHODS OF MAKING PAPER AND LABELS
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
WATER-, OIL- AND GREASE- RESISTANT MULTILAYER COATING FOR PAPER-BASED SUBSTRATE AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a water-, oil- and grease-resistant multilayer coating for a paper-based substrate comprising a water-based inner primer coating, an intermediate polymeric extrusion coating, and a water-based top barrier coating, wherein a surface of the paper-based substrate coated therewith has water, oil and grease barrier properties, and wherein the paper-based substrate coated therewith is repulpable and recyclable.
Multilayer coating with a primer-surfacer of a nonaqueous coating material comprising at least two different polyesters
Method for producing a multicoat coating comprises: applying a primer-surfacer coat (I) to an optionally pretreated substrate, curing coat (I), applying a basecoat (II) to coat (I), optionally curing the basecoat (II), applying a clearcoat (III) to basecoat (II), and curing basecoat (II) and/or clearcoat (III), wherein coat (I) is obtained by applying a nonaqueous, solventborne coating material comprising by weight: at least 20% of at least one organic solvent, at least 8% of at least one first polyester (A1), having a glass transition temperature of at least 20 C. and an acid number of 0 to 40 mg KOH/g; at least 8% by weight of at least one second polyester (A2), different from (A1) and having a glass transition temperature of not more than 10 C.; at least one crosslinker (B); and at least 8% of one or more fillers and/or pigments (C).
