Fabric print media
The present disclosure is drawn to fabric print media and a method of coating a fabric substrate to form a fabric print medium. The fabric print medium can comprise a primer layer applied to the fabric substrate, an ink-fixing layer applied to the primer layer, and an ink-receiving layer applied to the ink-fixing layer. The primer layer can include a first film-forming polymer and a fabric softening agent. The ink-fixing layer can comprise a second film-forming polymer and a cationic compound. The ink-receiving layer can comprise a third film-forming polymer and non-deformable particles. One or more of the primer layer, the ink-fixing layer, and the ink-receiving layer also further comprise a flame inhibitor. In one example, all of these three layers include the flame inhibitor.
Coating method of reflective film
A coating method of reflective film is first to prepare a glass beads film and then select a color to be coated. The color is composed of plural primary colors in fixed ratio, making the color have a standard ratio, which is obtainable from an original database. Next, ratios of the primary colors are respectively adjusted to form a printing ratio according to color fastness, permeability and light barrier property of each primary color attached to the glass beads and then, each primary color is orderly spray coated on the glass beads film to form a coating layer with micro-printing technique in accordance with the printing ratio, thus completing manufacturing of a reflective film with high transmittance and high wide angle.
Multilayer barrier film
Multilayer film prepared by a layer-by-layer process that is an effective barrier for humidity and oxygen.
WATER-BASED COATING COMPOSITIONS AND SYSTEMS WITH IMPROVED SAG RESISTANCE AND RELATED METHODS
The present invention provides a system for monitoring and controlling an industrial paint operation, where a five-sided intermodal shipping container is painted with a water-based coating composition. The system includes a paint application system, a drying system with a chamber configured to handle one or more intermodal shipping containers, and modules for monitoring and controlling the application of paint and the drying of the applied paint.
REACT-ON-DEMAND (ROD) FABRICATION METHOD FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE PRINTED ELECTRONICS
A one-step react-on-demand (RoD) method for fabricating flexible circuits with ultra-low sheet resistance, enhanced safety and durability. With the special functionalized substrate, a real-time three-dimensional synthesize of silver plates in micro scale was triggered on-demand right beneath the tip in the water-swelled PVA coating, forming a three-dimensional metal-polymer (3DMP) hybrid structure of 7 m with one single stroke. The as-fabricated silver traces show an enhanced durability and ultralow sheet resistance down to 4 m/sq which is by far the lowest sheet resistance reported in literatures achieved by direct writing. Meanwhile, PVA seal small particles inside the film, adding additional safety to this technology. Since neither nanomaterials nor a harsh fabrication environment are required, the proposed method remains low-cost, user friendly and accessible to end-users. the RoD approach can be extended to various printing systems, offering a particle-free, sintering-free solution for high resolution, high speed production of flexible electronics.
HYDROPHOBIC COATINGS THAT INCLUDE NANOPARTICLES
A coating and related methods useful for reducing insect residue on moving surfaces, such as turbine blades or aircraft. The coating can include alternating layers of a perfluorinated acrylic copolymer and silicon dioxide nanoparticles that have been infused into one another via thermal annealing processes. The coating may be super-hydrophobic and exhibits desirable durability characteristics.
Fabrication of mirror-like coatings
This invention relates to an object with electroless plated coatings that includes an adhesion coating, a smoothening coating, a silver coating and an anti-scratch coating. A method of fabricating the electroless plated object is also described.
CONFORMAL FLUOROPOLYMER COATINGS
The present disclosure provides methods for forming a fluoropolymer coated component, such as a metal component, comprising applying an adhesion promoter onto a surface of the component; applying an organic material onto the adhesion promoter; and applying a mixture comprising a fluoropolymer and a solvent selected from a furan or a fluorinated solvent onto the organic material. Aspects of the present disclosure further provide fluoropolymer coatings having a thickness of from about 5 mil to about 80 mil on a component, an average porosity of from about 20% to about 70% based on the total volume of the layer, and a void density of from about 10.sup.11 to about 10.sup.13 voids per cm.sup.3.
Paper, labels made therefrom and methods of making paper and labels
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
Method for applying layers on a material
A process for printing multiple layers on a fabric or other material using UV-curable ink that includes a step of printing a first layer on the material and another step of partially curing the first layer. A next step includes printing a partially UV-transparent layer over the first layer and fully curing the UV-transparent layer while simultaneously fully curing the first layer.
