HANDHELD ACOUSTIC SHOCK WAVE OR PRESSURE PULSE APPLICATION DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A handheld acoustic shock wave or pressure pulse applicator device has a body structure and an applicator head. The body structure has a proximal end and a distal end with a longitudinal axis extending between the ends. The applicator head is at the distal end. the head emits pressure pulses or shock waves at an inclined angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the body structure. The applicator head has a balloon or lens or membrane through which the emitted pressure pulses or shock waves pass. The lens or membrane is configured to be coupled directly or indirectly to an exposed soft tissue surface of a palate inside a patient's mouth to direct emitted pressure pulses or shock waves to the brain. The applicator device can be configured with the inclined obtuse angle fixed between 150 degrees and 90 degrees or can be adjustable between 180 degrees and 90 degrees.
Method and device for improving brain function
Methods and therapeutic devices with noninvasive means for improving brain function and treating senile dementia including Alzheimer's disease are described. The non-invasive means is selected from electrical stimulation, heat stimulation, IR (infrared) radiation or their combinations. In some embodiments, the method and device utilize electrical current passed through acupuncture sites on the human head to achieve desired therapeutical effects.
Devices and methods for delivering mechanical stimulation to nerve, mechanoreceptor, and cell targets
Presented herein are systems, methods, and devices that provide for stimulation of nerves and/or targets such as mechanoreceptors, tissue regions, mechanoresponsive proteins, and vascular targets through generation and delivery of mechanical vibrational waves. In certain embodiments, the approaches described herein utilize a stimulation device (e.g., a wearable device) for generation and delivery of the mechanical vibrational waves. As described herein, the delivered vibrational waves can be tailored based on particular targets (e.g., nerves, mechanoreceptors, vascular targets, tissue regions) to stimulate and/or to elicited particular desired responses in a subject.
FIXTURE FOR LIGHT ACUPUNCTURE
A fixture for light acupuncture on the head is provided. The fixture has a holding portion extending at least partially over the temporal bone above an ear when being in an attached position. The holding portion has one or several openings through which one optical wave guide each is pluggable so that its front end shining while in operation is attached to the head in the area of the temporal bone.
G TOLERANCE IMPROVEMENT DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
Provided is a G tolerance improvement device provided with: an estimation unit that estimates either or both of a body fluid volume in the head of a user and a change amount of the body fluid volume; and a pressurization unit that applies pressure to the user on the basis of either or both of the body fluid volume and the change amount estimated by the estimation unit.
SKULL VIBRATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME
A skull vibration device includes: an electrical signal generator configured to generate an electrical signal; an amplifier configured to amplify the electrical signal from the electrical signal generator; a vibration generator configured to convert the electrical signal transmitted from the amplifier to a mechanical vibration; a metal vibration member to which a vibration generating portion of the vibration generator is directly coupled, and which is configured to cover a skull of a human body with a predetermined spacing left between the vibration member and the skull; and a vibration member supporter configured to suspend the vibration member while preventing direct or indirect contact of the vibration member with the human body, and to keep the vibration member at a predetermined distance from the skull. A vibration generated from the vibration member is transferred to the skull through a vibration of air.
Negative pressure device and methods thereof
The present invention relates to a negative pressure device, including: a hollow needle assembly including: a hollow needle adaptor, the hollow needle adaptor has an axial through hole, a proximal connector, a distal connector and a flange between the proximal connector and the distal connector, and at least one hollow needle, each of the at least one hollow needle has a tip and an axial through hole and is in fluid communication with the proximal connector of the hollow needle adaptor; a host machine, the host machine includes a control module and a vacuum pump; and an exhaust pipe, the exhaust pipe is in fluid communication with the host machine and the distal connector of the hollow needle adaptor.
Optimal Dosages for Low Energy Shock Wave Treatment of Vital Organs
The treatment of various sensitive organs with low energy acoustic shockwaves has been proposed. However, the prior art is lacking in guidance as to what constitutes an efficacious minimum dosage or a safe maximum dosage for various target organs and tissues. Through extensive experimentation with cultured cells, live animals, and animal disease models, the inventors of the present disclosure have determined safe and efficacious shockwave energetic dosage ranges for vital and sensitive organs, including the brain, pancreas, kidneys, liver, and spleen, as well as for skin and subcutaneous tissues, peripheral nerves, and skeletal muscles.
Acoustic shock wave therapeutic methods
A method of conditioning a soft tissue region or site of a patient prior to, during or after a fat grafting procedure, or any combination of these, has the steps of: activating an ultrasonic or acoustic shock wave generator or source to emit ultrasonic or acoustic shock waves; subjecting the soft tissue region or site to ultrasonic or acoustic shock waves stimulating the said soft tissue; wherein the emitted waves are focused or unfocused low energy acoustic shock waves or ultrasonic waves and wherein the soft tissue region or site underlies the patient's skin. The soft tissue region or site is one of a buttock, a breast or a scalp. The method of conditioning a soft tissue region or site further has the step of: treating the soft tissue region or site after conditioning and implanting or injecting viable fat cells in a fat grafting procedure.
HEALTH PROMOTING APPARATUS
A health promoting apparatus to benefit health of a user based on medical factors underlying moderate exercise, comprises: an oscillation generator configured to oscillate a head of the user in a vertical direction or an anteroposterior direction; and an oscillation controller connected to the oscillation generator, and configured to control the oscillation generated by the oscillation generator. The oscillation controller is configured to control the oscillation generator to apply a shear stress to cells in a brain of the user by moving interstitial fluid in the brain, in order to promote the health of the user.
