METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PEDOT FILM
A method for producing a PEDOT film on a substrate comprising a substrate and at least one PEDOT layer on a surface of the substrate is disclosed. The method comprises applying a solution comprising an oxidant and a base inhibitor on a surface of the substrate; subjecting the oxidant-coated substrate to a polymerization step by exposing the surface(s) of the oxidant-coated substrate to EDOT monomer vapour at a polymerization temperature; and wherein, during the polymerization step, the temperature of the oxidant-coated substrate is kept at a controlled substrate temperature and wherein the controlled substrate temperature is 2-40° C. lower than the polymerization temperature. Further is disclosed a conducting PEDOT film, an electronic device comprising the conducting PEDOT film and different uses of the conducting PEDOT film.
Thick polymer coating of a substrate apparatus and method
A method for applying a polymer coating to a substrate wherein the resultant layer of polymer on the substrate has a substantial thickness. A mixture of polymer material, including reactor bead polymer and ground polymer, may be used in a powder coating process to achieve thicker polymer layers.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING FLAT GLASS ELEMENTS WITH AN ANTI-CORROSION AGENT AND SEPARATION AGENT APPLICATION
When on flat glass elements an anti-corrosion agent and a separation agent, containing a powdery anti-corrosion agent and a powdery separation agent, is applied with the anti-corrosion agent and the separation agent being jointly applied on at least one side of the flat glass elements, the partial quantities of the powdery separation agent and the powdery anti-corrosion agent can be dosed according to requirement without causing an excess of separation agent or a shortage of anti-corrosion agent by holding ready and dosing the said anti-corrosion agent and separation agent independently from each other and by blending them together only after dosing.
Methods for making coated glass articles such as coated glass containers
According to one or more embodiments disclosed herein, a coated glass article may be made by a method that includes applying a water-based coating mixture onto at least a portion of a first surface of a glass article, and heating the water-based coating mixture to form a coating on the first surface of the glass article, where the coating includes metal oxide and polymer. The water-based coating mixture may include comprise water in an amount of at least 50% by weight of the water-based coating mixture, a polymer or polymer precursor, and a metal oxide precursor. The polymer or polymer precursor may be miscible in the water or may form an emulsion with the water. The metal oxide precursor may be miscible in the water or may form an emulsion with the water.
Method to prepare superhydrophobic sheets from virgin and waste polypropylene
Polypropylene (PP) superhydrophobic sheets and a fabrication method using a stream of polypropylene from plastic waste thereof are provided. Superhydrophobic PP sheets of varying thickness having a base layer and a top layer may be fabricated using recycled or waste polypropylene, where the fabrication process uses 20% of total plastic waste to prepare said sheets having contact angles ranging from 140 to 160 degrees. The polypropylene superhydrophobic sheets may impart protective water-repellent properties against the elements.
METHODS FOR DECORATING A TRANSLUCENT CONTAINER
A method for decorating a translucent container including cleaning an exterior surface of the container and applying a silver layer to the exterior surface followed by a black layer applied over the silver layer. Portions of the silver and black layers are selectively removed to form one or more shapes using a laser. A translucent protective layer is applied over the entire exterior of the container.
Method and device for marking at least one inner face of a container, and corresponding container
The present inventing relates to a method for marking at least one inner face of a container with at least one given pattern, in which method the inside of said inner face is at least partially coated with a pigmented sol-gel layer that reacts to laser radiation, by spraying or by means of a stamp applied to a precise zone of the layer provided for containing the pattern, and the pattern is developed by interaction between the sol-gel and UV laser radiation specifically programmed according to the pattern to be revealed, the UV laser radiation being emitted by a device comprising an optical system having a long optical length that allows a field depth of more than 1 mm to be obtained. The present invention also relates to a device suitable for implementing this method and to a container obtained by this method.
Articles and methods of forming vias in substrates
Methods of forming vias in substrates having at least one damage region extending from a first surface etching the at least one damage region of the substrate to form a via in the substrate, wherein the via extends through the thickness T of the substrate while the first surface of the substrate is masked. The mask is removed from the first surface of the substrate after etching and upon removal of the mask the first surface of the substrate has a surface roughness (Rq) of about less than 1.0 nm.
METHODS FOR TREATING A SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MAKING ARTICLES COMPRISING BONDED SHEETS
Described herein are articles and methods of making articles, for example glass articles, including a sheet and a carrier, wherein the sheet and carrier are bonded together using a coating layer, which is, for example, a fluorocarbon polymer coating layer, and associated deposition methods and inert gas treatments that may be applied on the sheet, the carrier, or both, to control the fluorine content of the coating layer and van der Waals, hydrogen and covalent bonding between the sheet and the carrier. The coating layer bonds the sheet and carrier together with sufficient bond strength to prevent delamination of the sheet and the carrier during high temperature processing to while preventing a permanent bond at during high temperature processing while at the same time maintaining a sufficient bond to prevent delamination during high temperature processing.
