ANTIMICROBIAL PACKAGING FILMS
The present invention is directed to a thermoplastic packaging film coated with an antimicrobial coating, a method for the preparation of the coated film and packaging articles made with the film.
2-Wet Coating Method For Preparing Multilayer Coating Systems
Disclosed herein is a method for preparing a multilayer coating system on a substrate including at least the steps of applying a first coating material composition to a substrate (step (1)), applying a second coating material composition to the first coating film formed in step (1) prior to curing the first coating film and forming a second coating film (step (2)) and jointly curing the first and second coating films (step (3)).
DIGITALLY PRINTED AND PRODUCED HEAT TRANSFER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A digitally produced heat transfer can be manufactured by digitally printing an image onto the protective coating that is receptive to ink and/or toner to form a printed area and an unprinted area of the protective coating, and digitally printing an attractant precisely onto the printed area and not onto the unprinted area. An adhesive powder can be applied onto the printed area and the unprinted area. The adhesive powder can then be removed from the unprinted area and the remaining adhesive powder can be bonded to the printed area. A digitally produced heat transfer can include a protective coating that is receptive to ink and/or toner, a digital image printed onto the protective coating to form a printed area and an unprinted area of the protective coating, an attractant digitally printed precisely onto the printed area, and an adhesive powder applied onto the attractant.
Polyester film and manufacturing method thereof
The present invention relates to a transfer polyester film. More particularly, the present invention relates to a transfer polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the transfer polyester film has a coating layer with an excellent releasing property so that at the time of forming a hard coating layer in order to impart a surface gloss to an interior product, the transfer polyester film may be attached to a surface of the hard coating layer so as to allow the surface of the hard coating layer to be smoothly formed in a step of coating and curing a hard coating solution and may be removed after completely curing the hard coating layer.
Coating Compositions for Aluminum Beverage Cans and Methods of Coating Same
A coating composition for a food or beverage can that includes an emulsion polymerized latex polymer formed by combining an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component with an aqueous dispersion of a water-dispersible polymer.
Method for applying a slurry coating onto a surface of an inner diameter of a conduit
A method for creating a coating onto an inner diameter of conduit, whereby an injection nozzle is moved in a forward direction until its tip is aligned with the end of the conduit. Slurry is pumped from a reservoir into the injection nozzle and then is discharged through the tip of the injection nozzle. The slurry flows, distributes and spreads onto the surface of the conduit. The conduit is rotated and the nozzle is retracted as slurry continues to discharge from the nozzle to coat the remainder of the conduit.
3-Wet Coating Method For Preparing Multilayer Coating Systems
Disclosed herein is a method for preparing a multilayer coating system on a substrate including at least the steps of applying a first primer coating material composition to a substrate (step (1)), applying a second base coating material composition to the first coating film formed in step (1) prior to curing the first coating film and forming a second coating film (step (2)), applying a third clear coating material composition to the second coating film formed in step (2) prior to curing the second coating film and forming a third coating film (step (3)), and jointly curing the first, second and third coating films (step (4)).
Bio-Based Coalescing Solvents
Coalescing solvents are among the most important components of water-borne latex paints and are required for deposition of continuous and tough films during the final stages of paint drying. Water-borne latex paints require 1-2 weight percent coalescing solvent which translates to use of about 770 million pounds in the US alone. This work focused on developing novel biobased coalescing solvents for water-borne latex paints to perform equivalent or better while being cost competitive to higher performing petroleum-based coalescing solvents. Formulation testing included minimum film forming temperature (MMFT), scrub resistance, freeze-thaw stability, and gloss. Other properties of the solvent considered were evaporation (leading to VOC content), density, viscosity, color, and hydrolytic stability. Hydrolytic stability is important for the shelf-life performance of the final paint formulation.
Method for producing a coating consisting of surfacer and topcoat
Provided is a method for producing a coating that includes a surfacer coat and topcoat on a substrate and including applying a first coating material to an untreated substrate or a substrate coated with a cured electrodeposition coat, and applying a second coating material to the surfacer coat. The produced coating system is cured to form the coating. The first and second coating materials are compatible according to DIN EN ISO 12944-5:2008-01, and the second application takes place before the first coating material has reached drying stage 1 according to DIN 53150:2002-09, and the drying stage is determined according to EN ISO 9117-3:2010. The method is suitable for producing coatings on automobiles and commercial vehicles, such as trucks, vans, and buses.
Method For The Production of a Coating For The Inner Surface of a Receptacle, and Receptacle Obtained by a Method of Said Type
The invention relates to a method for producing a hybrid organo-mineral layer (12) for coating the inner surface (13) of a receptacle as well as to said receptacle for holding products that are biocompatible for humans and/or animals. According to the invention, a solution is formed that contains at least one solvent, water, at least one complexing molecular alkoxysilane precursor, at least one organo-functional molecular precursor and/or silicone, and a catalytic acid, the complexed solution, which is undergoing hydrolysis and condensation, is applied to at least one portion of the inner surface of the receptacle, the applied solution is dried at a specific temperature, and the receptacle is conveyed away and stored.
