The present invention relates to a method for preparing a wood modifier and a method for wood modification, and in particular, to a method for preparing a room temperature cured multifunctional wood modifier and a method for wood modification to solve the problems of high construction temperature, high toxicity, poor leaching-resistance and single function of existing wood modifiers. The method includes: step 1: weighing a hydrophobic polymer resin, an additive, a curing agent and a solvent, mixing and then stirring at room temperature to obtain a functional reagent A; step 2: weighing nanoparticles, a surface modifier and toluene, mixing and then stirring, cleaning with acetone, centrifuging, and drying to obtain a functional reagent B; step 3: adding a functional reagent C into the functional reagent A, evenly stirring, adding the functional reagent B, and performing ultrasonic processing to obtain the multifunctional wood modifier.

The present disclosure relates to silicone-coated mineral wool insulation materials, methods for making them using specific coating methods, and methods for using them. One aspect of the disclosure is a method for making a silicone-coated mineral wool, the method comprising: providing a mineral wool comprising a collection of mineral wool fibers; applying to the mineral wool a solvent-borne coating composition comprising a silicone, the silicone of the coating composition having a number-average molecular weight of at least 25 kDa; and allowing the solvent to evaporate to provide silicone-coated mineral wool.

Silane functional stabilizers for extending long-term electrical power cable performance
Provided are methods for extending the life of in-service electrical cable having polymeric insulation, comprising injecting a dielectric enhancement fluid composition into the cable, wherein the composition comprises: (a) one or more organoalkoxysilane functional additives (voltage stabilizer-based, hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS)-based, and/or UV absorber-based); and (b) a catalyst suitable to catalyze hydrolysis and condensation of (a), the injected composition providing for rapid initial permeation of (a) into the insulation, and extended retention of subsequent condensation products of (a) in the insulation. Additionally provided are innovative silyl functional ferrocenes (e.g., containing a ferrocene moiety and a silyl function hydrolysable to silanol) having utility as functional voltage stabilizing additives in the methods.

The adhesive layer is disposed in the gap between the first product housing and the second product housing, adhering to the first product housing and the second product housing. The protective layer is disposed on the adhesive layer. The protective layer is disposed in the gap, covering the outer surface of the adhesive layer. The protective layer bonds and cross-links to the adhesive layer chemically.
