Disclosed are a method and a device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a massage device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression is disclosed, the device including: a mental state determination unit for determining a mental state on the basis of a biosignal of a user; a mental massage pattern determination unit for determining a mental massage pattern on the basis of the determined mental state; and a mental massage provision unit for providing a massage on the basis of the mental massage pattern.
THERAPEUTIC APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EFFECTING AUTOMATED PARALLEL MOBILIZATION OF A MUSCLE OR TENDON
A therapeutic apparatus and a method for providing parallel mobilization treatment of a muscle or a tendon in a limb utilizing the therapeutic apparatus.
The therapeutic apparatus includes a driven endless belt which travels along a path, with a plurality of contact elements projecting from and spaced along the machine direction of the endless belt. The apparatus can provide parallel mobilization treatment to a tender location by releasably securing the therapeutic apparatus to a limb overlaying the tender location, and activating the therapeutic apparatus to drive the contact elements along a path wherein the contact elements contact and effect parallel mobilization of a muscle or a tendon at the tender location as the contact elements travel along an interaction segment of the path.
WEARABLE HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A wearable health management system includes a flexible member configured to be worn on an affected area by a patient. At least one actuator is operably coupled to the flexible member. The at least one actuator is configured to be adjusted between a deployed state and a non-deployed state. At least one of a photoplethysmogram sensor and a bioimpedance sensor is coupled to the flexible member to obtain one or more health metrics from the patient. A controller is in communication with the at least one actuator. The controller is configured to adjust the at least one actuator to the deployed state to provide a selected pressure to the affected area.
ELECTRO-ACTUATABLE COMPRESSION GARMENTS WITH SHAPE MEMORY ELEMENTS
A compression garment having one or more flex frames that can be shortened or lengthened to apply or release a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of a user. The compression garment can have a wire made of shape memory material (shape memory alloy). A controller of the compression garment can supply an electrical input to the wire, generating heat that can cause the wire to contract such that the flex frame deflects to a shorter length to apply a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of the user. The one or more flex frames can be contracted in unison or in sequence to direct the flow of bodily fluids in the limb or other anatomical feature of the user.
MASSAGE MACHINE WITH LIMB MASSAGE MECHANISM AND WORKING METHOD OF LIMB MASSAGE MECHANISM
A massage machine with a limb massage mechanism and a working method of the limb massage mechanism are disclosed. The limb massage mechanism includes a bracket, a support housing connected to the bracket, and a massage mechanism mounted in the bracket and the support housing. The massage mechanism includes a motor, a speed reducer, a first rotating shaft and multiple treatment pieces; the motor is connected to the speed reducer; the multiple treatment pieces are eccentrically arranged on the first rotating shaft, and are helically mounted on the first rotating shaft from ends close to the speed reducer to ends away from the speed reducer; and a side opposite to the treatment pieces is provided with an air bag which is disposed on the inner side surface of the support housing.
Treatment Sleeve System
A treatment sleeve system which helps to both prevent and treat chaffing, callouses, and pressure sores on or around dormant joints. The treatment sleeve system generally includes a sleeve which is worn around a limb to both treat and prevent complications such as pressure sores or the like. The sleeve includes a first end having a first opening, a second end having a second opening, and a channel extending between the first and second ends. The sleeve may comprise a bend portion which is adapted to be positioned over a joint. A cavity either within the sleeve or within a holder adapted to be removably connected within the sleeve stores a volume of a composition such as an antimicrobial ointment or the like. In such a manner, the composition may be applied to an affected area such as a wound or surgical site while the sleeve is worn on the limb.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING COMPRESSION
A compression device for applying pressure to a body part can include a fabric member that can fit over the body part, and one or more actuators coupled to the fabric member, wherein each of the one or more actuators is configured to cause at least a portion of the fabric member to expand or contract along a circumferential direction, thereby decreasing or increasing the pressure applied to the body part adjacent to the actuator. The fabric member can be thin and stretchable, and can contour the body part over which it is worn. The actuators can cause user controlled variable pressure levels to be applied to the body part, including constant pressure levels as well as time varying synchronous or asynchronous pressure patterns.
Apparatuses for arm exercise
The invention comprises an apparatus for arm exercise for therapy of a subject. The apparatus comprises a base comprising a planar upper surface. A first set of parallel rails are affixed to said upper surface of the base, the first set of parallel rails comprising a first rail and a second rail positioned parallel to each other and separated from each other by a predefined first distance. A second set of rails comprising at least a third rail having a first end and a second end are also provided, wherein said first end is slidably mounted on the first rail and said second end is slidably mounted on said second end. A sliding mount is slidably affixed to the second set of rails, and configured such that said sliding mount can be slidingly moved between the first end and the second end of the third rail.
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING A ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING THE MOBILITY OF A USER
The present invention concerns a device for controlling a robotic system for assisting the mobility of a user, said robotic system comprising at least one active mobility assistance element capable of assisting a given mobility action of the user, characterized in that the device comprises a detection system capable of detecting a compensatory movement of the user associated with the mobility action, said compensatory movement being a movement made by a user who is disabled, or able-bodied but locally and/or temporarily constrained, in order to perform at least part of the mobility action, and which at least partially substitutes the normal movement an unconstrained, able-bodied user would make in order to perform this mobility action, and a control system capable of controlling the at least one active element when the compensatory movement is detected.
