An object has a superhydrophic, self-cleaning, and icephobic coating includes a substrate and a layer disposed on the substrate, the layer resulting from coating with a formulation having an effective amount of microstructuring microparticles, liquid silane having one or more groups configured to graft to a microstructuring microparticle and at least another group that results in hydrophobicity. The microstructuring microparticles are dispersed in the liquid silane. Another effective amount of synthetic adhesive, selected from thermosetting adhesives, moisture curing adhesives or polymers that form a strong interaction with a surface, is in solution with a solvent. Upon curing, the layer has a contact angle greater than 90° and a sliding angle of less than 10° and, less than 5% of an area of the layer is removed in a Tape test.
METHOD FOR THE IN-SITU ENCAPSULATION AND/OR INSULATION OF PIPING
This disclosure relates to a method for the in-situ encapsulation and/or insulation of piping using silicone-based compositions such as liquid silicone rubber materials and/or silicone foams. The method is useful for encapsulation and/or insulation of underground piping, particularly underground piping carrying high temperature (e.g., >120° C.) fluids, such as steam. The in-situ encapsulation and/or insulation may be done by inserting a hose into a pipe cavity so that a first end of the hose is remotely positioned next to the pipe and a second end of the hose is attached to a pumping system. A silicone composition is pumped through the hose and into the cavity surrounding from the remote first end of the tubing at a first predefined rate, and the hose is gradually withdrawn from the cavity at a second predefined rate. The silicone material is allowed to cure and become rigid, thereby encapsulating and/or insulating the pipe.

Waterborne inorganic anti-doodling ceramic paint for indoor walls and preparation method therefor
The present disclosure discloses a waterborne inorganic anti-doodling ceramic paint for indoor walls and preparation method thereof; the ceramic paint is a dual-coating paint having an under-coating paint and a surface-coating paint. The advantage effects of the present disclosure is that: the main film-forming materials are inorganic materials, the solvent is mostly deionized water, VOC emission is extremely low, thereby having a characteristics of safety, health and environmental protection; overcoming the shortcomings of multi-components of ceramic paint needs to be aged before use, while the under-coating paint and the surface-coating paint of the present disclosure are all single-component and can be directly used, easily to apply and fast; having an anti-doodling effect, when a marker doodling on the walls, it can be easily erased; the coating has a low surface tension which can isolate the outdoor moisture and prevent the walls from getting wet and mildewed.
