Ionized pedicure chair system
An ionized pedicure chair system provides a pedicure treatment experience to a user with treated water. The system includes a built-in ionizer device configured to adjust the pH level of the water used for the pedicure as desired in the 2.5 to 6.0 pH range. The system includes a base supported built in water lines, a reclinable chair, and a double bowl system. The device (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) includes a drive mechanism (140, 250, 350, 530) to oscillate the pedal (125, 220, 330, 420, 520), thereby rocking the foot about the axis of the ankle joint to cause natural movement of the foot as during walking.
FOOT SPA WITH DISPOSABLE PUMP
The foot spa has a rotating drive hub and a pump. The hub has North and South pole domains encircling a rotation axis in alternating relation. The pump includes a housing and an impeller, the housing having a pair of sides and defining: a cavity having a center and a periphery; an intake that communicates with the cavity center; and one or more ports communicating with the periphery. An adjustable foundation and process includes a mattress support surface including a head and back section hingedly connected to an intermediate section at one end and a leg and foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate section at another end, wherein the intermediate section includes a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is hingedly connected to the head and back section and the second portion is hingedly connected to the leg and foot section. The intermediate or seat section is configured to increase in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from a flat position or an increase in inclination of any section. Likewise, the intermediate or seat section is configured to decrease in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from an inclined position to a flat position or a decrease in length upon declination of any section. By doing so, a prone user does not have to shift his position on the mattress in order to accommodate the inclination or declination.
Non-invasive methods for prevention, detection, treatment, and healing of neoplastic processes in dogs and cats
The invention is a method consisting of stimulation of specific new acupuncture points to prevent, treat and heal specific types of neoplastic process in dogs and cats. The specific acupuncture points used in the method of the invention have not been previously disclosed for the treatment of neoplastic processes. The treatments can be carried out by accredited practitioners in a clinical setting or by a layperson. The stimulation can be provided by any of the known techniques used for stimulation of controlling points, including, but not limited to, traditional acupuncture needles, auto-injector needles, electric acupuncture, acupressure, lasers, acupuncture lasers, UV radiation, infra-red radiation, heat, magnets, moxibustion, and a combination of two or more of these techniques, for example, the use of both needles and laser acupuncture simultaneously in a single treatment session.
System for Adjusting Pressure Locally on the Skin and Subcutaneous Tissue
The invention relates to a system for adjusting pressure locally acting on the skin. Said system includes a set of adjacent modules distributed so as to form a layer. Each module includes a cushion capable of changing shape and comprising a cavity, a valve, a tank, and a pressure sensor, wherein the cavity and the tank are in communication with each other by means of the valve, and the sensor is placed so as to sense pressure directly or indirectly acting on the cushion. The system also includes a feedback loop arranged such as to increase or decrease the change in the shape of the cushion on the basis of the pressure detected by the sensor. The system according to the invention can be built into a shoe so as to re-establish normal plantar pressure under the entire sole of the foot, which is particularly desirable for athletes or for patients suffering from diabetes mellitus or leprosy. It is also possible to incorporate the system according to the invention into a (bed or wheelchair) mattress so as to prevent decubitus ulcers in patients with neurological diseases (hemiplegia, paraplegia, tetraplegia, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and any other sensory and/or motor deficit diseases.
