Defibrillator providing cardio pulmonary resuscitation feedback
A defibrillator assesses cardio pulmonary resuscitation carried out on a subject and provides feedback. The defibrillator measures bio signals of the subject, determines when CPR is required and produces a start signal and determines and when CPR is no longer required and produces a stop signal. A measurement system measures compression signals during CPR chest compressions, a CPR assessment system receives the CPR start signal and the CPR stop signal and receives compression signals. The defibrillator uses the compression signals to establish a first CPR performance measurement, set a performance baseline of the person equal to the first CPR performance measurement of the person, compare the further CPR performance measurement of the person with the CPR performance baseline of the person, produce a feedback signal and set the CPR performance baseline of the person equal to the further CPR performance measurement of the person and return to earlier operations.

The system further including a monitoring device communicatively coupled to the airflow sensors and the physiological sensors. The patient monitoring device comprising at least one processor coupled to memory and configured to: provide a user interface on a display and assist the rescuer in determining proper placement of an endotracheal tube, receive the data indicative of the airflow in the patient's airway, receive the physiological information regarding the airflow in the patient's lungs, and determine whether the tube is properly placed based on the received physiological information, and present an output of the determination of whether the ET tube was properly placed.
Systems, devices, and methods for monitoring and modulation of therapeutic procedures
Wearable sensors that measure one or more parameters such as pressure, force, acceleration, or skin temperature, are used to measure, record, display and monitor the efficacy of therapeutic maneuvers applied to a subject by an operator. Systems and methods for assessing the physiological efficacy of therapeutic maneuvers performed by an operator on a subject in need thereof, and provide a way to guide subsequent therapeutic maneuvers toward optimal outcome. In some embodiments, the systems and methods measure, record, and display physiological parameters of an operator and/or subject during application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Detection of myocardial contractions indicative of perfusion
A system for assisting with a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment being administered to a patient. In one aspect, the system includes electrodes to provide an ECG signal of the patient, one or more sensors configured to measure an intrinsic myocardial wall movement of the patient, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to perform operations including: during the CPR treatment being administered to the patient, receiving an input from the sensor(s), processing the input from the sensor(s) and the ECG signal, determining, based on processing, whether the intrinsic myocardial wall movement is indicative of a perfusion movement of the patient's heart, and providing an indication to a user of the system based on the determination.
Enhanced Guided Active Compression Decompression Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Systems and Methods
Systems and methods for applying enhanced guided active compression decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation are provided. Exemplary systems include a load cell, a handle, an adhesive pad. The handle and the adhesive pad are configured for magnetic coupling.
EXTERNAL COUNTERPULSATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME
The present invention relates to an external counterpulsation system that senses biosignals to monitor a heart condition and performs external counterpulsation on the basis of the monitored heart condition. The external counterpulsation system includes: a compression device wrapping around limbs of a subject to compress or decompress the wrapped limbs; and a controller configured to calculate compression timing and decompression timing for the external counterpulsation by analyzing an electrocardiogram signal and a blood flow rate signal among the sensed biosignals, and control the compression device on the basis of the calculated compression timing and decompression timing. As described above, the present invention can automatically control compression timing and decompression timing, thus ensuring that, unlike the related art technology, the problem of inconvenience that an operator has to control the compression and decompression timings while continuously monitoring procedure is solved, and that operators without specialized knowledge can use the system easily.
Device and Method for Assisting Breathing in a Subject
A distension/compression device for assisting breathing in a subject is disclosed. In one embodiment, a first tube includes a flexible and elastic material that forms a first tube lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the first tube. Longitudinal expansion of the first tube is restricted less than radial expansion of the first tube. A connection element including a first air supply port is in fluid communication with an open proximal end of the first tube lumen and attached to a proximal end of the first tube. A method for assisting breathing of a patient and a method for assisting the clearing of secretions is also included.
