An aspiration hopper assembly having a diverter vane, an adjustable depth plate, and a slidable product wave plate disposed within and connected to an aspiration hopper. Below the aspiration hopper is an air tube housing having an air tube with a cut-out section, an air pick-up chamber, and an adjustable velocity plate. Sight windows provide a means for visual inspection to monitor performance when making the adjustments for optimal results. The purpose of the aspiration hopper assembly is to allow good product to pass through the aspiration hopper in order to remove foreign material that is the similar size and lighter in density from good product.

DEBRIS REMOVAL SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER AND RELATED EXTRACTORS
20190082600 · 2019-03-21 ·

A debris removal system for an agricultural harvester may include an extractor having an extractor housing defining a central airflow channel for directing debris through the extractor from a central inlet to a central outlet. The extractor housing may further define an outer airflow channel surrounding the central airflow channel. The outer airflow channel may define a flow path between an outer housing inlet and an outer airflow outlet. Additionally, the extractor housing may include an internal divider wall extending between the central and outer airflow channels. Moreover, the system may include at least one flow-generating device provided in operative association with the housing. The flow-generating device(s) may be configured to generate an airflow directed through the outer airflow channel, wherein the airflow generates a negative pressure within the central airflow channel that draws the debris into the extractor housing via the central airflow inlet.

AGRICULTURAL GRAIN CLEANER

An agricultural grain cleaner includes an inlet chute having an inlet end and an outlet end positioned below the inlet end. A crop distribution member is positioned adjacent the outlet end of the inlet chute. The crop distribution member includes a distribution disc rotatable relative to the inlet chute about a vertical central axis to impart a horizontal trajectory, away from the central axis, to crop material supplied to the distribution disc from the inlet chute. A fan is operable to generate an air stream from below the crop distribution member, across the horizontal trajectory, to an air-chaff outlet. A grain collection chute has an inlet to receive grain that is cleaned of chaff by the air stream. A tailings collection chute is positioned adjacent to the grain collection chute on a radially inner side thereof.

METHOD FOR FRACTIONATING GRAIN

A method for fractionating a milled grain product into coarse and fine fractions includes providing a sieving apparatus with a bottom chamber divided from a top chamber by a sieve, an inlet port in the top chamber, a top chamber cover defined by a plurality of openings, and a first exit port in the bottom chamber, and applying vacuum suction to the sieving apparatus. The vacuum suction is configured to draw grain particles through the inlet port into the top chamber, generate substantially horizontal airflow in the top chamber via the inlet port; and generate substantially vertical airflow in the top chamber via the plurality of openings, wherein the substantially horizontal airflow and the substantially vertical airflow combine to generate turbulence which fluidizes the grain particles in the upper chamber and prevents blockage of the sieve; and drawing fine grain particles through the sieve and out of the bottom chamber via the first exit port under the vacuum suction and collecting a fine grain particle fraction.
