SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THERMOGRAPHIC BODY MAPPING WITH THERAPY
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for providing a massage to an individual, comprising: sensing a parameter associated with the individual in response to the massage using a sensor; and guiding the massage based on the parameter.
Assisting a CPR treatment
A system for assisting with a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment being administered to a patient. In one aspect, a system for assisting with a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment being administered to a patient includes a sensor for determining a parameter of the patient (e.g., indicative of a blood flow or pressure waveform), and one or more processors configured for receiving input from the sensor, determining, based on the input from the sensor, whether a rate of chest compressions administered in the CPR treatment should be changed, and providing an indication to a user that the rate of chest compressions should be changed.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR USING MECHANICAL AFFECTIVE TOUCH THERAPY TO IMPROVE FOCUS, CONCENTRATION, LEARNING CAPACITY, VISUAL MEMORY, NEW LEARNING, SUSTAINED ATTENTION, COGNITION & INTEROCEPTION IN HUMANS
Methods and devices that improve focus, concentration, learning capacity, visual memory, new learning, sustained attention, cognition and/or interoception in a human using mechanical affective touch therapy are provided. In one embodiment, the method comprises delivering to a human body transcutaneous mechanical vibrations having a frequency of less than 20 Hz for at least 10 minutes, at least 2 times per day, for a period of at least 4 weeks, thereby providing the human with transcutaneous mechanical stimulation that improves focus, concentration, learning capacity, visual memory, new learning, sustained attention, cognition and interoception in that human.
Systems and methods for assisting patient airway management
A medical system for assisting with an intubation procedure for a patient. The system comprising airflow sensors configured to obtain data indicative of airflow in the patient's airway and physiological sensors configured to obtain information regarding airflow in the patient's lungs. The system further including a monitoring device communicatively coupled to the airflow sensors and the physiological sensors. The patient monitoring device comprising at least one processor coupled to memory and configured to: provide a user interface on a display and assist the rescuer in determining proper placement of an endotracheal tube, receive the data indicative of the airflow in the patient's airway, receive the physiological information regarding the airflow in the patient's lungs, and determine whether the tube is properly placed based on the received physiological information, and present an output of the determination of whether the ET tube was properly placed.
WALKING ASSISTANCE METHOD AND APPARATUSES
A walking assistance method may include measuring a current gait motion of a user, defining a state variable based on the current gait motion, setting a delay that is a feedback element for the state variable, and generating a torque profile based on the state variable and the delay.
SYSTEM FOR IDENTIFYING INFORMATION REPRESENTED BY BIOLOGICAL SIGNALS
This system for identifying information represented by biological signals is configured so as to detect biological signals (S501), analyze the detected biological signals and then output feature data (S502), determine the respective similarities between the feature data and a plurality of teaching data (S503), store the similarities per time in a time series (S504), and determine information represented by the biological signals on the basis of the plurality of similarities within a prescribed period among the stored similarities in the time series (S505).
Real-time kinematic analysis during cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein. The system includes a camera to capture one or more images at a scene where the person in need of medical assistance is being treated and one or more processors. The processors receive and process the images, by using a rescuer profile, to provide a real-time feedback to the rescuer to improve the CPR treatment.

DEVICES FOR GASTROINTESTINAL STIMULATION AND USES THEREOF
A gastrointestinal stimulation devices including a random stimulation delivery mechanism(s), configured to provide stimuli to a bodily tissue in a vicinity of the stimulation capsule, the provided random stimuli being characterized by a stimulation parameter, and a control circuitry in communication with said physical stimulation delivery mechanism, and configured to set and alter the stimulation parameter non-systematically, thereby altering the characterization of the stimuli provided to the bodily tissue. The algorithm may be patient tailored, and may have a learning machinery which responds to data being received from the patient.
Device and method for calibrating a non-invasive mechanically tactile and/or thermal neurostimulation
A device for stimulating neurons that includes a stimulation unit that applies mechanically tactile and/or thermal stimuli to the body surface of a patient that stimulate neurons with a pathologically synchronous and oscillatory neural activity. The device includes a measuring unit that records measurement signals of neural activity of the stimulated neurons, and a controller that controls the stimulation unit and analyzes the measurement signals. The controller actuates the stimulation unit to scan at least one part of the body surface of the patient along a path and thereby periodically applies stimuli and also selects two regions or more regions on the patient's body surface along the path where the phase synchronization between the periodic application of the stimuli and the neural activity of the stimulated neurons have a local maximum using the measurement signals. The stimuli are then applied in a delayed manner in the two regions.
