Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to personal therapy and exercise systems as well as to methods related thereto. For example, a personal therapy system can be a modular system that can include multiple therapy gear modules.

Systems and methods for generating damped electromagnetically actuated planar motion for audio-frequency vibrations

A vibration module for applying vibrational tractions to a wearer's skin is presented. Use of the vibration module in headphones is illustrated for providing tactile sensations of low frequency for music, for massage, and for electrical recording and stimulation of the wearer. Damped, planar, electromagnetically-actuated vibration modules of the moving magnet type are presented in theory and reduced to practice, and shown to provide a substantially uniform frequency response over the range 40-200 Hz with a minimum of unwanted audio.

System and method for synchronizing external compression of a limb for increased blood

Embodiments relate to devices, systems and methods of assisting blood flow return to the heart from a limb. The device comprising a wearable garment and a compression apparatus embedded in the garment for applying an external compression to a limb of a user and at least one of a processor or a controller configured to control the compression apparatus to apply the external compression, according to a compression sequence, to a muscle of the limb of the user based on real-time measurements regarding a cardiac cycle having a diastolic phase and systolic phase of the user and real-time measurements of muscle activity. The compression sequence is synchronized to commence when both a local blood flow at the limb is in the diastolic phase and the muscle is in a non-contracted state.

PROGRAM AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING DEVICE FOR ASSISTING MOVEMENT OF PART OF INTEREST OF SUBJECT, AND METHOD FOR CONFIGURING DEVICE FOR ASSISTING MOVEMENT OF PART OF INTEREST OF SUBJECT
20240009059 · 2024-01-11 · ·

This program for controlling a device for assisting movement of a part of interest of a subject is executed in a computer system including a processor unit. The program causes the processor unit to perform: receiving a first signal when the subject is attempting to move the part of interest with a first movement, the first signal indicating at least a first biological signal when the subject is attempting to move the part of interest with the first movement, an unassisted movement range of the part of interest when the subject is attempting to move the part of interest with the first movement, and the magnitude of force when the subject is attempting to move the part of interest with the first movement; selecting a mode for controlling the device on the basis of the received first signal; and controlling the device in the selected mode.

DEFIBRILLATOR PROVIDING CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION FEEDBACK

A defibrillator assesses cardio pulmonary resuscitation carried out on a subject and provides feedback. The defibrillator measures bio signals of the subject, determines when CPR is required and produces a start signal and determines and when CPR is no longer required and produces a stop signal. A measurement system measures compression signals during CPR chest compressions, a CPR assessment system receives the CPR start signal and the CPR stop signal and receives compression signals. The defibrillator uses the compression signals to establish a first CPR performance measurement, set a performance baseline of the person equal to the first CPR performance measurement of the person, compare the further CPR performance measurement of the person with the CPR performance baseline of the person, produce a feedback signal and set the CPR performance baseline of the person equal to the further CPR performance measurement of the person and return to earlier operations.

ADAPTIVE COMPRESSION THERAPY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems, devices and methods for providing active and/or passive compression therapy to a body part can include a compression device worn over a compression stocking The compression device can have a pulley based drive train that is driven by a motor to tighten and loosen compression elements, such as compression straps, in a precise, rapid, and balanced manner. Sensors can be used in the compression device and/or compression stockings to provide feedback to modulate the compression treatment parameters.

A communication system and method are provided for remotely reproducing a touch pattern or gesture as a vibrotactile output. At a touch screen, a first user device receives a touch pattern by a first user, characterizes the touch pattern as a touch pattern data based upon time and intensity of touch at a plurality of array points of the touch screen, and communicates the touch pattern data to a network. A tactile array patch of micro-vibratory devices is attachable to a garment and worn by a second user. The touch pattern data is wirelessly received from the first user device via the network. Vibration of selected micro-vibratory devices of the tactile array is modulated in timing and intensity in response to the touch pattern data to reproduce the touch pattern.
