EFFICIENT PLANT SELECTION

A plant selection apparatus has a storage means for storing a plurality of image datasets of plants and associated plant information including at least one of genotype information of the plants, phenotype information of the plants, and pedigree information of the plants. A selection unit preselects a subset of the plants. A display device displays the image datasets of the subset of the plants. A tracking unit generates observation information including information on which of the subset of the plants is observed, and the storage means is configured for storing the observation information. A training unit trains a classifier based on the observation information, the input selection, and the plant information including said at least one of the genotype information, the phenotype information, and the pedigree information.

Method for determining at least one mechanical property of at least one object

The invention relates to a method and a device for determining at least one mechanical property of at least one object, wherein the at least one object is subjected to at least one interaction which influences a movement state of the at least one object, wherein the at least one interaction is selected such that the movement state effectuated by the interaction is a function of the at least one mechanical property, wherein the at least one object is observed using at least one camera, wherein the movement state is determined from images recorded by the at least one camera and wherein the at least one mechanical property of the at least one object is determined from the movement state thus determined.

OPTICAL SORTER

An optical sorter includes a first light source disposed on a first side, a second light source disposed on a second side, an optical sensor configured to detect light during a plurality of scan periods including a first scan period and a second scan period, a determination part configured to determine a foreign object and/or a defective product, and a light source control part. The light source control part is configured to control the first light source and the second light source during the first scan period so as to turn on the first light source and/or the second light source in a first lighting pattern, which is a lighting pattern arbitrarily selected from a lighting pattern in which the first light source and the second light source are at least partially on, a lighting pattern in which only one of the first light source and the second light source is at least partially on, and a lighting pattern in which only the other of the first light source and the second light source is at least partially on, and is also configured to control the first light source and the second light source during the second scan period so as to turn on the first light source and/or the second light source in a second lighting pattern, which is a lighting pattern selected arbitrarily except for the first lighting pattern.

REMOVING AIRBAG MODULES FROM AUTOMOTIVE SCRAP

A system classifies materials utilizing a vision system that implements an artificial intelligence system in order to identify or classify and then remove automotive airbag modules from a scrap stream, which may have been produced from a shredding of end-of-life vehicles. The sorting process may be designed so that live airbag modules are not activated, which may cause damage to equipment or persons.
