Device for sorting materials, in particular scrap particles, by means of X-ray fluorescence
A device for identifying materials on a conveyor belt by means of X-ray fluorescence comprises an X-ray source, from which X-ray radiation is guided onto material parts, a detector head containing an X-ray detector with a multiplicity of detector elements arranged in a planar fashion for receiving X-ray radiation and converting it into electrical charge signals, and an electronic unit for reading out and processing the charge signals, which comprises for each individual detector element a signal channel having a discriminator unit with a plurality of energy thresholds and a counting unit apparatus for converting the signals into digital counting events, wherein the electronic units are interconnected such that simultaneous occurrence of signals on more than one detector element can be identified and treated separately.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEPARATING OBJECTS USING VACUUM DIVERTS WITH ONE OR MORE OBJECT PROCESSING SYSTEMS
A distribution system for use in an induction system with an object processing system. The distribution system provides dissimilar objects into one of a plurality of receiving units. The distribution system includes an air intake system with an opening that is a fixed distance from a conveyor section, said air intake system aiding in moving an object on the conveyor section from the conveyor section to one of a plurality of adjacent transport units.
Matrix sorter
The present application relates to an apparatus for sorting a plurality of different objects and a corresponding method. The apparatus comprises at least one first sorting stage with at least two sorting lines, each having an input end and an output end. The input ends of the sorting lines of the first sorting stage are connected to an infeed conveyor for feeding the objects, and the output ends of the sorting lines of the first sorting stage are connected to a first transport conveyor for carrying the objects further. Arranged at the output ends of each of the sorting lines is an interrupter, which is designed to individually let out objects from the respective sorting line, and arranged at the output ends of each of the sorting lines is a device for counting and/or identifying the objects let out of the respective sorting line.
Method and device for analysing and/or sorting scrap metal
The disclosure relates to a method for the analysis and/or sorting of scrap metal, more particularly of scrap aluminium, in which a quantity of scrap metal, more particularly aluminium scrap, in the form of a scrap bundle or a group of scrap bundles is provided, in which method the scrap bundle or the group of scrap bundles is irradiated by at least one neutron source, the gamma radiation emitted by the scrap bundle or by the group of scrap bundles is captured by at least one detector, and composition information relating to the composition of the scrap bundle or the group of scrap bundles is determined on the basis of the gamma radiation captured by the at least one detector. The disclosure further relates to a device for analysing and/or sorting scrap metal.
