VISUAL ACUITY TRAINING DEVICE AND VISUAL ACUITY TRAINING METHODS
A visual acuity (VA) training device includes a guiding unit, an eye-movement sensor, and a controller. The guiding unit is configured to guide an eyeball to move towards multiple predetermined positions. The eye-movement sensor is configured to obtain multiple eye-movement signals according to movement of the eyeball. The controller obtains multiple eyeball muscle parameters according to the eye-movement signals, and the controller controls the guiding unit according to the eyeball muscle parameters, so as to adjust the predetermined positions.
Methods of Exoskeleton Communication and Control
A first exoskeleton is in communication with a central server or a peripheral device. The first exoskeleton collects first data and transmits the first data to the central server or peripheral device. The central server or peripheral device generates second data using the first data and transmits the second data to the first exoskeleton or a second exoskeleton.
DEVICE FOR DRIVING THE LOWER LIMBS OF A PERSON IN DORSAL OR PARTIAL DECUBITUS COMBINED WITH DRIVING WALKING IN VERTICAL POSITION
The invention relates to a device for driving the lower limbs of a person, including a base frame; a table supporting the person; at least one motorized mechanical orthosis arranged to constitute an interface with at least one of the lower limbs of the person so that the movements of the lower limb and the orthosis are connected and identical and with the orthosis being attached to one end of the table; and a device for functional electrical stimulation and for measuring an electromyogram including at least one pair of stimulation and measurement electrodes intended for acting on a muscle or muscle group of the lower limb, and for stimulating the muscle or muscle group, as well as for measuring the reaction of the muscle or muscle group, wherein the device also includes a raising mechanism which makes it possible to vary the vertical position of the table relative to the base frame between a low position in which the transfer and the installation of the person are made easier, intermediate working positions, and a raised position making it possible to drive the person in a standing position, and a mechanism for tilting the table which makes it possible to vary the inclination of the table relative to the base frame, in particular between a horizontal position in which the person is positioned in dorsal decubitus, and a vertical position in which the person is in a standing position, and wherein the combination of the mechanisms for raising and tilting the table allowing the mobility of the orthosis across the entire respective physiological ranges of movement of the lower limb.
WALKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A method and apparatus for controlling at least one vibration element disposed on a sole of a user, an apparatus for providing a walking assistance force for a user may calculate a torque of an assistance force based on walking information of the user, calculate a physical quantity of a property of at least one vibration element based on the torque when the apparatus generates the torque, and control the vibration element based on the calculated physical quantity is provided.
METHOD OF INDENTIFYING PARAMETER OF CHARACTERISTIC OF MUSCLE, AND WALKING ASSISTANCE APPARATUSES AND METHOD BASED ON THE METHOD
Disclosed is a method of identifying a parameter of a characteristic of a muscle, and walking assistance apparatuses and method based on the method. The method of identifying a parameter of a characteristic of a muscle includes estimating a first torque of a joint based on an electromyogram (EMG) signal, estimating a second torque of the joint based on motion data, and identifying a parameter of a characteristic of a muscle associated with the joint based on the first torque and the second torque.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PORTABLE POWERED STRETCHING EXOSUIT
Portable powered stretching exosuit (PPSE) systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The PPSE can be used to facilitate stretching routines for athletics, rehabilitation, or for therapeutic purposes such as maintaining mobility for DMD patients. The PPSE is comfortable, relatively easy to don and doff, and in a form factor such that the PPSE can be worn during the wearer's normal activities. The PPSE may be self-powered, and automatically perform or assist with specific stretching routines. PPSEs may be optimized for one or more specific stretches, whether for athletic performance, medical purposes or rehabilitation following surgery or injury.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSISTIVE EXOSUIT SYSTEM
Exosuit systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The exosuit system can be a suit that is worn by a wearer on the outside of his or her body. It may be worn under the wearer's normal clothing, over their clothing, between layers of clothing, or may be the wearer's primary clothing itself. The exosuit may be assistive, as it physically assists the wearer in performing particular activities, or can provide other functionality such as communication to the wearer through physical expressions to the body, engagement of the environment, or capturing of information from the wearer.
PARTIALLY INSULATED ACUPUNCTURE NEEDLES FOR SENSING AND STIMULATION
A sensing and monitoring system can use acupuncture needle-based electrodes for sensing signals from a person and/or delivering stimulation to the person. In various embodiments, the electrodes can include partially insulated acupuncture needles.
ACUPUNCTURE NEEDLES WITH ACCESSORIES FOR SENSING AND STIMULATION
A sensing and monitoring system can use acupuncture needle-based electrodes for sensing signals from a person and/or delivering stimulation to the person. In various embodiments, the electrodes can include partially insulated acupuncture needles. In various embodiments, the electrodes can include partially insulated or non-insulated acupuncture needles and one or more electrodes incorporated into a needle stopper configured as a guiding tube for an acupuncture needle or integrated into an acupuncture needle.
AMPLITUDE SPECTRUM AREA CONSIDERATIONS FOR AN EXTERNAL MEDICAL MONITORING AND TREATMENT DEVICE
A medical monitoring and treatment device that includes a therapy delivery interface, a plurality of therapy electrodes coupled to the therapy delivery interface, a plurality of electrocardiogram sensing electrodes to sense electrocardiogram signals of a patient, a sensor interface to receive the electrocardiogram signals and digitize the electrocardiogram signals, and at least one processor coupled to the sensor interface and the therapy delivery interface to analyze the digitized electrocardiogram signals, to detect a cardiac arrhythmia based on the digitized electrocardiogram signals, and to control the therapy delivery interface to apply electrical therapy to the patient based upon the detected cardiac arrhythmia. The at least one processor is further configured to analyze a frequency domain transform of the digitized electrocardiogram signals, to determine a metric indicative of a metabolic state of a heart of the patient, and to accelerate or delay application of the electrical therapy based upon the metric.
