SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COORDINATING MUSCULOSKELETAL AND CARDIOVASCULAR OR CEREBROVASCULAR HEMODYNAMICS
Described herein are methods for determining a target musculoskeletal activity cycle (MSKC) to cardiac cycle (CC) timing relationship. The method may include detecting a first characteristic of a signal responsive to a CC timing of a user that repeats at a frequency that corresponds to a heart rate of the user; detecting a second characteristic of a signal responsive to a rhythmic musculoskeletal cycle activity (MSKC) timing of the user that repeats at a frequency that corresponds to the MSKC rate of the user; determining a value representative of an actual timing relationship between the first characteristic and the second characteristic; detecting a third characteristic of a signal corresponding to a physiological metric that varies with the actual timing relationship between the first and second characteristics; and determining a target value representative of a preferred timing relationship between the first and second characteristics.
Apparatus and Method for Supporting a Human Body Using Supernumerary Artificial Limbs
An apparatus includes at least one supernumerary artificial limb and a base structure configured to couple with a human body. The base structure includes a sensor that obtains a measurement regarding load of the human body. The proximal end of the supernumerary artificial limb is coupled to the base structure. The apparatus further includes a processor operatively coupled with the sensor and configured to receive the measurement from the sensor. The processor is also configured to generate a control signal to change at least one of a position of the supernumerary artificial limb and a torque exerted by the supernumerary artificial limb based on the measurement regarding the load.
Personal Massage Apparatus
Disclosed are various embodiments for implementing and creating a customizable artificial hand massage apparatus configured to simulate actual hand movements associated with a human user. The customizable artificial hand massage apparatus may also be configured to execute a massage application. The massage application may be executed to store information associated with the user of the customizable artificial hand massage apparatus, detect sounds, detect motion, determine an amount of gas expelled from the user of the customizable artificial hand massage apparatus, determine the number of times an infant burps, detects how far an object or person is located with respect to the customizable artificial hand massage apparatus, and transfer information to a separate control application.
GARMENT
The invention relates to a garment for sports, health exercise, physiotherapy or another performance, the garment comprising a body part (BP) of the garment and one or more limb parts (L1, L2, H1, H2) of the garment which extend from the body part of the garment. The garment comprises one or more elastic reinforcements (B1, B2, B3) routed in the garment in accordance with one or more fascial lines (FL1, FL2, FL3) of a human body. The elastic reinforcements form a network, being provided both on a front side of the garment and a rear side of the garment.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING CIRCUIT
A method and apparatus for protecting a circuit are provided. The method and apparatus may measure a physical quantity of a motor by an external physical stimulus, may calculate a counter electromotive voltage generated by the motor, based on the physical quantity, may compare the counter electromotive voltage to an output voltage, and may control a circuit connected to the motor to be open when the counter electromotive voltage is greater than the output voltage.
Systems and methods for assistive exosuit system
Exosuit systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The exosuit system can be a suit that is worn by a wearer on the outside of his or her body. It may be worn under the wearer's normal clothing, over their clothing, between layers of clothing, or may be the wearer's primary clothing itself. The exosuit may be assistive, as it physically assists the wearer in performing particular activities, or can provide other functionality such as communication to the wearer through physical expressions to the body, engagement of the environment, or capturing of information from the wearer.
EXOSKELETON-TYPE GLOVE
Provided is an exoskeleton-type glove including: a glove type outer cover; a guide provided at a corresponding position between finger joints of a human body on the outer cover; a wire extended along the guide; an actuation module including an actuator that allows the finger joint of the human body to move by controlling an extension length of the wire and provided at a back side of a hand of the human body; and a buffer provided below the actuation module.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FUNCTIONAL GAIT RE-TRAINER FOR LOWER EXTREMITY PATHOLOGY
A gait device and method for rehabilitating or developing a subject's lower extremity. The device may include a movable belt configured for the subject to ambulate thereon; a track provided above the movable belt that is generally aligned with the movable belt; and a coupler that is configured to travel along the track and attach to the distal portion of the lower extremity of the subject while the subject is ambulating on the movable belt.
