Modular Therapeutic Vibration Rehabilitation System
20200046591 · 2020-02-13 ·

An apparatus for musculoskeletal stimulation allows a restoring element communicating with the limb support to provide a restoring force to the limb support that is dependent on displacement of the limb support from a neutral positions. The restoring force may be applied by a weight or a spring.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING DAMPED ELECTROMAGNETICALLY ACTUATED PLANAR MOTION FOR AUDIO-FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS
20200037079 · 2020-01-30 ·

A vibration module for applying vibrational tractions to a wearer's skin is presented. Use of the vibration module in headphones is illustrated for providing tactile sensations of low frequency for music, for massage, and for electrical recording and stimulation of the wearer. Damped, planar, electromagnetically-actuated vibration modules of the moving magnet type are presented in theory and reduced to practice, and shown to provide a substantially uniform frequency response over the range 40-200 Hz with a minimum of unwanted audio.

VAGINAL REMODELING DEVICE AND METHODS

This invention relates generally to apparatus and methods for tightening tissue of the female genitalia by heating targeted connective tissue with radiant energy, while cooling the mucosal epithelial surface over the target tissue to protect it from the heat. Embodiments include a handle and treatment tip that has both an energy delivery element and a cooling mechanism. The handle may be a two-handed handle allowing control even while rotating and maneuvering the treatment around the genital opening. The apparatus or system may also include an integrated controller, which may confirm tissue contact without applying RF energy, based only on the temperature of the applicator and the time since the last application of energy from the applicator.

A method for treating urinary incontinence is provided. The method includes providing a device having an expandable portion having an outer surface, a first electrode, and a second electrode, the first and second electrodes coupled to the outer surface of the expandable portion and configured to cause a contraction of a muscle in communication with the electrodes. The method further includes causing the expandable portion to inflate such that the first and second electrodes contact vaginal walls and causing a contraction of a muscle in communication with the electrode.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF SYNCHRONIZING CHEST COMPRESSIONS WITH MYOCARDIAL ACTIVITY

Systems and method for providing chest compressions to a patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation may comprise at least one ECG sensor configured to obtain ECG signals, an automated chest compressor configured to provide chest compressions and at least one processor, memory and associated circuitry of a medical device communicatively coupled with the at least one ECG sensor and the automated chest compressor. The at least one processor may be configured to receive and analyze the ECG signals, determine, based on the analysis, whether the patient is in a condition of unconscious hypotension with organized ECG, analyze, in response to a determination that the patient is in the condition of unconscious hypotension with organized ECG, the received ECG signals to detect a QRS complex, and generate an output to apply a chest compression at a predetermined time relative to the detected QRS complex.

Device for the treating of pain with high amplitude low frequency sound impulse stimulation

A system for relieving pain of a user includes an electromechanical transducer configured to generate generate tactile sound waves (vibrations) with a frequency between 5 Hz and 200 Hz, a holder configured to keep the transducer in a fixed position adjacent to the mesenterial and internal organs' Pacinian corpuscles located in the abdominal cavity of the user, and a controller configured to control the amplitude and frequency of the transducer.

Systems and methods to increase survival with favorable neurological function after cardiac arrest

A system includes a guidance device that provides feedback to a user to compress a patient's chest at a rate of between about 90 and 110 compressions per minute and at a depth of between about 4.5 centimeters to about 6 centimeters. The system includes a pressure regulation system having a pressure-responsive valve that is configured to be coupled to a patient's airway. The pressure-responsive valve is configured to remain closed during successive chest compressions in order to permit removal at least about 200 ml from the lungs in order to lower intracranial pressure to improve survival with favorable neurological function. The pressure-responsive valve is configured to remain closed until the negative pressure within the patient's airway reaches about 7 cm H.sub.2O, at which time the pressure-responsive valve is configured to open to provide respiratory gases to flow to the lungs through the pressure-responsive valve.
