Slippery self-lubricating polymer surfaces
The present disclosure describes a strategy to create self-healing, slippery self-lubricating polymers. Lubricating liquids with affinities to polymers can be utilized to get absorbed within the polymer and form a lubricant layer (of the lubricating liquid) on the polymer. The lubricant layer can repel a wide range of materials, including simple and complex fluids (water, hydrocarbons, crude oil and bodily fluids), restore liquid-repellency after physical damage, and resist ice, microorganisms and insects adhesion. Some exemplary applications where self-lubricating polymers will be useful include energy-efficient, friction-reduction fluid handling and transportation, medical devices, anti-icing, optical sensing, and as self-cleaning, and anti-fouling materials operating in extreme environments.
Apparatus and method for cleaning HVAC cooling coils
A method of cleaning an HVAC coil unit located above a drain basin. One step of the method involves providing a supply and collection assembly having a reservoir containing liquid cleaning solution, a pump operative to output the liquid cleaning solution through a supply outlet, and a vacuum source operative to draw in used liquid cleaning solution through a collection inlet. According to another step, a nozzle device in fluid communication with the supply outlet is also provided, the nozzle device having a delivery face. A further step involves providing a fluid return tool in fluid communication with the collection inlet, and positioning the fluid return tool in the drain basin. According to a further step, the delivery face of the nozzle device is moved across a surface of the HVAC coil unit to deliver the cleaning solution into areas between fins thereof.
Particle removing assembly and method of servicing assembly
An apparatus includes a wafer stage and a particle removing assembly. The wafer stage includes a cup adjacent to a wafer chuck. The particle removing assembly is configured to remove contaminant particles from the cup. In some embodiments, the particle removing assembly comprises a flexible ejecting member that includes one or more elongated tubes, a front tip, and a cleaning tip adapter configured to attach the front tip to each of the one or more elongated tubes. The front tip includes front openings and lateral openings from which pressurized cleaning material are introduced onto an unreachable area of the cup to remove the contaminant particles from the cup.
OIL AND WASTE SPILLAGE CONTAINMENT
Concepts presented herein relate to containment methods, systems and apparatus to assist in preventing oil and waste spillage during loading and unloading of fluid to and from a container assembly. The container assembly includes a container and a lid coupled with the container. A fluid delivery component is coupled to an interior of the lid and is positioned to direct fluid into the container.
Arrangement for cleaning vehicle tires
An arrangement for cleaning the tires of a vehicle is described herein. The arrangement includes a gutter arrangement a strip arrangement and a brush mat arrangement on its upper surface. At one end of the arrangement is a nozzle arrangement that sprays or otherwise applies water onto the tire. The strip arrangement applies water to the tire and vibrates the tire to remove contaminants. The brush mat arrangement both cleans the tire and removes water from its surface. The water as well as the dirt and dust that has come off the tires accumulate in a collection basin under the brush mat arrangement. The arrangement is suitable for interiors of structures.
WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM
The present invention provides a waste disposal apparatus for assisting in the disposal of waste from an aircraft and replenishment of sanitary chemical solutions to the aircraft during servicing of a variety of aircraft lavatories. The waste disposal apparatus features, among other parts, a waste receptacle, a face shield, multiple interface inserts, a waste hose port, a rinse/refill hose port, an electric wire port, a drain port, and, optionally, one or more add-on tanks. Further, the waste disposal apparatus can be used in conjunction with various types of stands which can be adapted to existing aircraft service vehicles. Through the use of the waste disposal apparatus, the ramp attendant, the aircraft ramp, the tarmac, customer baggage, and other property on the ramp are protected from contamination with human waste and chemical solutions used to deodorize and sanitize aircraft lavatories.
Collapsible containment berm
A collapsible containment berm having a floor and a peripheral sidewall, a plurality of brace assemblies integrally carried on an external surface of the sidewall and on an adjacent underside surface of the floor, each brace assembly comprising a rigid sidewall support member connected to the external surface of the sidewall and oriented upright when deployed, a rigid buttress member having a first end and an opposite second end, and hingedly connected to an upper end of the sidewall support member that allows the buttress member to arc toward or away from the sidewall, a rigid floor member hingedly connected at the third end to the other end of the buttress member, and a sleeve connected to the underside of the floor and adapted to receive the floor member. The floor member slides in and out of the sleeve and moves the buttress member in and out of a bracing position with respect to the sidewall.
SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF BY-PRODUCT REMOVAL FROM A METAL SUBSTRATE
A system for and method of removing residues, deposits, and debris from a substrate that has been marked by a chemical etching process is disclosed. The system includes one or more upper sprayers that deposit a cleaning solution to a top surface of the product as it passes beneath the one or more upper sprayers. The system further includes at least one upper brush that operates to scrub the top surface of the product after the cleaning solution has been applied thereto. The system optionally includes one or more lower sprayers and lower brushes to clean a bottom surface of the product as it is conveyed through the system. The system further includes an air knife system that assists with drying the product prior to exiting the system. The system further includes a controller that is operable to adjust various system parameters.
Cleaning device for cleaning electroplating substrate holder
A cleaning device for removing contamination on a substrate holder used with an electroplating cell includes an arm, a cleaning agent supplier, a nozzle and a receiver. The cleaning agent supplier is coupled to the arm and configured to supply a cleaning agent. The nozzle is coupled to the cleaning agent supplier and configured to spray the cleaning agent onto the substrate holder to remove the contamination. The receiver is coupled to the arm and configured to receive the cleaning agent after the cleaning agent is sprayed onto the substrate holder.
Flexible Tray or Mat with Universal Application
A conventional utility tray or mat is typically a solid object of hard plastic or metal. The present invention is a flexible tray or mat object, permitting the tray or mat to be form fitted to the enclosure or container, and removed by being folded or rolled up, so as to enable effortless removal of the mat or tray, while continuing to contain any objects or fluids that were within or on the tray or mat. Additionally, even when placed on a non enclosed solid surface, the flexible character of the invention allows it to be folded or rolled up and removed, while continuing to contain any objects or fluids that were within or on the tray or mat.
