GOLD MINE CYANIDE TAILING DISPOSAL METHOD USING PASTE TECHNOLOGY

The present invention provides a gold mine cyanide tailing disposal method using paste technology belonging to the technical field of mining. The disposal method firstly performs a harmless decyanation treatment on a cyanide tailing slurry obtained from a mineral processing plant, and then performs a resource treatment where a cyanide tailing slurry is subjected to a thickening to obtain a higher concentration. When a backfill is needed, a paste is produced by adding a cementing material after a homogenized stirring of a two-stage horizontal agitator pumped to an underground mining site for filling by a plunger pump. The cementing material is to solidify an underflow and prevent cyanide from being filtered out. When a backfill is not needed, the paste is directly delivered to an open storage area for storing by the plunger pump.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HEAVY-METAL-MEDIATED BIOCHAR COMPLEX CURED BY USING SILICATE

A process for producing a heavy metal mediated biochar composite using silicate solidification. Hydrocharis dubia has excellent enrichment of manganese ions in sewage, and is used to treat sewage water to adsorb heavy metals such as lead, manganese and zinc contained in the sewage water into roots, stems and leaves thereof, which are pyrolysed in stages at high temperature with activated red mud and bentonite prior to blending with zeolites, to produce said heavy metal mediated biochar composite; the process significantly extends the migration time of heavy metals, increases the stability of heavy metals and reduces the risk of environmental pollution by heavy metal leakage.

METHOD FOR TREATING POLLUTED SOIL BY A HYDRAULIC BINDER WITH MAYENITE PHASE

A method for treating polluted soils, includes mixing the soil with a hydraulic binder, wherein the hydraulic binder includes: as the only high-alumina clinker, a high-alumina clinker including more than 80 wt % of mayenite C12A7 phase or a mayenite isotope, the high-alumina clinker making up at least 70 wt % of the weight of the hydraulic binder; and 1 wt % to 30 wt %, relative to the total weight of the binder, of lime.

DRILL CUTTINGS REUSE IN ROOFING MATERIALS

A process for the reuse of oilfield drilling waste with an natural affinity for oil which has had at least a portion of the contaminants removed using a remediation technology. The drilling waste can be further refined to ensure the waste meets a desired particle size distribution and thereafter sent for reuse by mixing the drilling waste with hot bituminous tar and thereafter using the liquids phase in roofing materials. A method of mixing the drilling waste with conventional fillers is also described to create a blended mixture of drilling waste and conventional fillers to create a new hybrid filler which is mixed with hot bituminous tar for use in roofing materials.

Insolubilizing material for specific hazardous substance and method for insolubilizing specific hazardous substance with same

The present invention intends to provide a practically valuable insolubilizing material for a designated hazardous substance (a heavy metal or the like) and an insolubilization method using the insolubilizing material for a designated hazardous substance, the insolubilizing material and method: making it possible to conduct treatment in a neutral region from start to finish to effectively insolubilize and immobilize a heavy metal or the like, which is contained in soil and the vicinity of the surface of the soil and which has adverse effects on health, by adding the insolubilizing material to the soil to mix with the soil, or spraying the insolubilizing material on the soil; and making the treated matter reusable, environmentally friendly, and neutral without fail. In order to achieve the purpose, the present invention provides an insolubilizing material for a designated hazardous substance, making it possible to conduct treatment to soil so that the soil does not reach a strongly basic region of a pH of 11 or more from start to finish, the insolubilizing material containing: a water-soluble aluminum compound not being strongly basic and not being amorphous; and at least one concomitant component selected from the group consisting of calcium compounds, magnesium compounds, and phosphate compounds each not being strongly basic.

Process for treating waste from a pithead power plant and for sequestrating carbon dioxide discharged therefrom

A process for treating waste from a pithead power plant and sequestrating carbon dioxide discharged therefrom is provided. A mixed material of solid waste from the power plant, cement and a mixing liquid is filled into a depleted coal mine and compacted. A hydrating liquid is then injected into the filler after compaction to cause hydration. After that, carbon dioxide discharged from the power plant is injected to mineralize the carbon dioxide, thereby achieving carbon dioxide sequestration and reinforcement of the depleted coal mine. The invention utilizes abundant basic oxides present in the solid waste, and the fact that calcium hydroxide and tobermorite present in the hydrated cement chemically react with the injected carbon dioxide to produce stable carbonates in solid, and thus simultaneously achieves carbon dioxide sequestration, treatment of solid waste, and reinforcement of a depleted coal mine.
