System and method for printing edible medicament dosage containers having identifying indicia at dispensing sites
A system and method enables production of medicament containers with edible material at a site for dispensing medicaments. The containers are formed in shapes that indicate the contents of the containers and can be formed with indicia that indicate the times for taking the medicaments. Additionally, the containers can be formed with raised protuberances that provide information regarding the medicaments in the containers. In one embodiment, the raised protuberances are in Braille.
Ingestible event marker systems
Ingestible event marker systems that include an ingestible event marker (i.e., an IEM) and a personal signal receiver are provided. Embodiments of the IEM include an identifier, which may or may not be present in a physiologically acceptable carrier. The identifier is characterized by being activated upon contact with a target internal physiological site of a body, such as digestive tract internal target site. The personal signal receiver is configured to be associated with a physiological location, e.g., inside of or on the body, and to receive a signal the IEM. During use, the IEM broadcasts a signal which is received by the personal signal receiver.
SOLID PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION AND MEDICATION MANAGEMENT METHOD
A solid pharmaceutical preparation T includes individual identification information 2 that enables identification of an individual who should take the solid pharmaceutical preparation T by visual observation printed on the solid pharmaceutical preparation T, in addition to pharmaceutical preparation information 1 indicated on the solid pharmaceutical preparation T.
Tablet printing apparatus and tablet manufacturing method
A tablet printing apparatus and a tablet manufacturing method are provided which are capable of distinguishing and collecting a preceding tablet and a following tablet from each other when two or more tablets in contact with each other are carried. A tablet printing apparatus includes a carrying device 20 carrying tablets Tb, a sensor 30 detecting the tablet Tb being carried by the carrying device 20, a printing unit 50 performing, when the status changes from the status in which the sensor 30 the tablet Tb is not detected to the status in which the tablet Tb is detected, printing on the tablet Tb that has changed the status, and a collecting unit R distinguishing and collecting, when the time length at which the sensor 30 is detecting the tablet Tb is longer than the predetermined setting value because two or more tablets Tb in contact with each other are carried, the preceding tablet Tb and the following tablet Tb following thereto among two or more tablets Tb.
Tablet and method of preparing the same
Disclosed is a method for preparing a tablet. The method can improve the compressibility of the active ingredients and produce tablets of uniform quality, bringing about the advantage of increasing tablet hardness with an increase in compression pressure, easily controlling disintegration time, and decreasing tablet friability by using the active ingredient fimasartan, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a hydrate or solvate thereof having a specific particle size distribution.
Printing device, method for printing, and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program causing computer to execute process for printing
A first image pickup unit picks up a first image including a conveyed object. A printing unit performs printing on the object based on the first image. A second image pickup unit picks up a second image including the object on which printing has been performed. A check unit checks a print state of the object in the second image. A first acquisition unit acquires feature data from one of the first image and the second image, as registration data. A second acquisition unit acquires feature data from the other image of the first image and the second image, as collation data. A verification unit compares the registration data and the collation data and verifies that reliability of the registration data is equal to or greater than a predetermined criterion value. A storage stores the registration data as data for determining an identity of the object.
Tablet printing apparatus and printing method
According to one embodiment, a tablet printing device 1 includes: a conveyer 10 configured to convey a tablet T; a laser displacement meter 30 configured to emit laser beams to the tablet T conveyed by the conveyer 10 and receive the laser beams reflected by the tablet T; a determination unit 81 configured to determine whether there is a split line on the upper surface of the tablet T conveyed by the conveyer 10 based on an output value of the laser displacement meter 30; and a printing unit 50 configured to perform printing on the tablet T conveyed by the conveyer 10 based on a determination result obtained by the determination unit 81.
Drug verification device, drug verification system and drug verification method
A drug collation device 10 includes a registered image acquisition unit 12 that acquires an image of a drug as a registered image on the basis of prescription information 22, a collation image acquisition unit 14 that acquires an image of a drug to be collated as a collation image, a similarity calculation unit 16 that calculates similarities between partial images in each corresponding divided region among a plurality of divided regions of the registered image acquired by the registered image acquisition unit 12 and a plurality of divided regions of the collation image acquired by the collation image acquisition unit 14, and a determination unit 18 that determines whether the drug indicated by the registered image and the drug indicated by the collation image are the same type, on the basis of the lowest similarity among a plurality of similarities calculated by the similarity calculation unit 16.
ELECTRONIC MEDICATION COMPLIANCE MONITORING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A system and method for monitoring a patient's compliance with a medication regimen includes an electronic tag integral with or attached to a medicine delivery device such as a capsule, the tag having an antenna and a receiver/transmitter, the system also including a reader positioned externally for detecting the presence and location of the delivery device in the patient.
Softgel Capsule and Method of Marking a Softgel Capsule
A softgel capsule is provided including a fill material and a shell composition The shell composition includes a marking formulation including a marking component. The marking component includes a metal oxide. Laser irradiation is applied to the softgel capsule at a wavelength of about 1000 nm to about 2200 nm, causing the marking component to cause a visible effect. A method of marking and marking formulation is also provided.
