Bristle element for brush and brush roll
The invention provides a brush bristle and a brush roll that exhibit a suitable abrasive force and that can reduce or eliminate the abrasion of a mill roll as much as possible. The brush bristle is for use in a brush roll B configured to scour a mill roll for rolling a metal sheet S, and includes one or more monofilaments 2 made of a thermoplastic resin containing abrasive particles. The abrasive particles have a hardness lower than the hardness of the mill roll, and higher than the hardness of the metal sheet S.
Roller mill grinding apparatus with regenerative capability
A roll grinding apparatus may comprise a frame, first and second rolls rotatably mounted on the frame in proximity to each other to grind materials passing between the rolls, and first and second motors to rotate the first and second rolls respectively. A control apparatus controls operation of at least one of the motors. The control apparatus may be configured to control the speed of the second roll by providing power to the second motor or braking the second motor through regeneration of energy from the second motor.

Apparatuses and methods for polishing a metal sheet or plate leveler
An apparatus and method for safely and efficiently polishing the work rolls of a metal sheet or plate leveler. The apparatus includes a support and one or more polisher assemblies to be inserted between the upper and lower work rolls of the leveler, for simultaneously polishing the upper and/or lower work rolls of the leveler during the rotation of the work rolls.

Rolling stand and corresponding method
Rolling stand comprising a support structure, a rolling roll mounted on the support structure, and a cleaning unit of the rolling roll, comprising at least a brush and a positioning device for the brush. The positioning device comprises a support body on which the brush is installed, a pivoting member associated to the support body and around which the support body is selectively rotatable, an actuation member mounted on a support pin and associated to the support body in order to move it between an inactive position, in which the brush is not in contact with said rolling roll, and an operating position, in which the brush is in contact with the rolling roll.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR SPOT POLISHING A METAL SHEET OR PLATE LEVELER
An apparatus for spot polishing the work rolls of a metal sheet or plate leveler having a series of upper work rolls and a series of lower work rolls. The apparatus includes an assembly comprising a spot polisher frame, an airbag or other position translation element, and a polisher, including an abrasive surface, configured to radially polish only a portion of an upper or lower work roll. The apparatus further includes a polisher arm, to which the abrasive polisher is attached, at a first end of the polisher arm. The apparatus further includes a second end of the polisher arm hingedly connected to the spot polisher frame so as to enable the repositioning of the abrasive surface between a polishing and non-polishing orientation.

Portable hand pump for evacuation of fluids
A manually operable pump for the effective removal of fluids to include blood, blood clots, fluid, and air from a body cavity of a subject is provided. The manually operable pump is adapted to be connect to a range of fluid conduits and is equipped with one-way valves that effectively permit flow of fluid through the pump in only one direction. The sensitivity of the one-way valves is such that when properly positioned, fluid can flow through the valves and out of the pump without manual compression of the pump and with the aid of gravity power alone.
