The present invention relates to a rack change system for changing of roller racks of a rolling block with a rail system along which change carriages can be moved, wherein the rail system includes a first track and a second track, which extend in different directions and are connected to one another via a switch, wherein the first track runs parallel to the rolling line of the rolling block, wherein a roller rack can be moved from the rolling block to the change carriage or a roller rack can be moved from the change carriage to the rolling block when the change carriage is standing on the first track and/or on the switch.

A roll stand having work rolls mounted therein. A metal strip rolling mill installation including a rolling mill (L), having a roll stand and a set of rolls, inside the stand. A gripping tool change magazine (MAG) includes a first grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting a work roll, a second grasping tool configured for inserting and extracting first intermediate rolls, a third grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting second intermediate rolls, and a fourth grasping tool is configured for inserting and extracting sets of rollers.

To minimize the setup times in the case of a tool changeover on rolls, the movement sequences are separated into transverse movements and vertical movements using a tool changeover system and method for changeover of at least one tool disposed on a roll shaft in a working position. In one aspect, the tool changeover system includes a tool changeover rack, a vertical transport and a transverse transport. A drawing frame separate from the tool changeover rack can be transported transversely separately with reference to the tool changeover rack. The tool changeover rack has a device for connecting with the vertical transport and a tool accommodation for accommodating the tool. The drawing frame has a device for connecting with the transverse transport and a device for connecting with the tool.

An installation for planishing running metal product (PM) of strip or plate type includes: a frame (B) in which are disposed a lower planishing cassette (C1) and an upper planishing cassette (C2), a lower drive device (Me1) for driving planishing rollers of the lower cassette in rotation, an upper drive device (Me2) for driving planishing rollers of the upper cassette in rotation. A displacement device (MD) displaces a secured assembly including the lower cassette and lower drive. The displacement device is activated for removal of the lower cassette from the frame toward one side (CM) or for insertion of the lower cassette from the one side into the frame. The secured assembly includes a replacement tool (OR) coupled to the lower cassette on a second operator side (CO) opposite the first motor side in relation to the product running axis (D). A method associated with the planishing installation is also described.
