A pill cutter and a method for using thereof are provided. The pill cutter includes: a bottom case; a pressing plate provided with a blade and a shield plate provided with a slit. When the pressing plate rotates relative to the bottom case, the blade at least has a protected state and a pill-cutting state, in the protected state, the blade is positioned between the shield plate and the pressing plate after the two plates are separated from each other, and in the pill-cutting state, the blade passes through the slit and reaches the bottom case. The blade can be shielded automatically when the pill cutler is opened for putting the pill in, and safety of using the pill cutter is largely enhanced.

A pill pouch is disclosed. The pill pouch can include a receptacle to contain a pill. The receptacle can have an opening to receive the pill therein. The receptacle can be defined at least in part by a flexible side to facilitate breaking or crushing of the pill inside the receptacle. The pill pouch can also include an access feature associated with the receptacle to facilitate removal of the pill from the receptacle after the pill has been broken and/or crushed.

A pill can be positioned on a first housing of a pill splitter. A second housing of the splitter can be pushed downward onto the first housing. A second blade can be secured to the second housing, and the pushing of the second housing downward toward the closed position can split the pill by bringing the second blade toward a first blade with cutting edges of both blades cutting into the pill. Also, the second housing can be configured to slide in a linear direction to split the pill and form a closed pill container space. The pill splitter can include a platform that is configured to move to hide or expose one of the blades. The first housing may include a spring device integrally formed with a foundation and/or the platform, with the spring device biasing the platform relative to the foundation toward the hiding position.

A pill pouch is disclosed. The pill pouch can include a receptacle to contain a pill. The receptacle can have an opening to receive the pill therein. The receptacle can be defined at least in part by a flexible side to facilitate breaking or crushing of the pill inside the receptacle. The pill pouch can also include an access feature associated with the receptacle to facilitate removal of the pill from the receptacle after the pill has been broken and/or crushed.

The current invention directs to a medicine pill cutter. The medicine pill cutter comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a triangular insert. The top portion has a central rib and two side ribs, wherein a triangular slot is formed between the two side ribs. The bottom portion is linked with the top portion via a pivot. The bottom portion has two blades and a spring positioned between the two blades, wherein the spring has a notch and the two blades are arranged in a V-shape. The triangular insert has a knot connected to the notch of the spring. A pill can be evenly divided into more than two sections via the use of the medicine pill cutter of the present invention.

A pill crushing device pulverizes pills and then transfers the pulverized pills out of the device with minimal transfer loss and spillage. The device includes a pill chamber. The pill chamber may form a threaded connection with the storage portion that enables detachment. The pill is pulverized in the pill chamber. A first spoon may retains the pill and carries the pulverized pill out of the chamber along a longitudinal opening of the pill chamber. An optional second spoon detachably attaches to the first spoon to carry supplemental compositions to the pulverized pill.

A pill splitter that cuts circular pills into four quarters and prevents a user from having to split a single pill, rotate the split pill, and split the pill again in order to obtain a fourth of a dose. The four-way pill splitter is composed of an upper and lower housing. The upper housing contains blades that meet at a vertex and the lower housing contains an inverted cone-shaped insert that the blades from the upper housing fit into so that the vertexes of the blades and the inverted cone-shaped insert only touch in the closed position.

Described herein is a medication crushing, grinding, and administering device generally adapted to transform a solid pharmaceutical into a powered form for dissolving into a fluid within a syringe body. The device includes a plunger portion including the working portion of the device in the form of a blade generally extending from the plunger portion and configured for rotation. The rotating blade manipulated within an interior of the syringe body for generally breaking apart a pill within the syringe body for dispersal into a solution for administering.

A pill cup assembly with first and second nestable cups where the first cup includes a flange extending from the upper perimeter edge and terminating in a free edge, the flange extending in a downward direction and spaced from the cup side wall and wherein the first cup is nestable within the second cup with the flange free edge locating within said second cup interior space when placed in the nested condition. The flange free edge contacts and forms a 360 barrier with the second cup to prevent pill material from escaping from between the cups.

A device including means for breaking up a medication or vitamin including at least one of a pill, a tablet, and a capsule, and mixing the medication or vitamin with liquid; means for enclosing the means for breaking up the medication or vitamin; means for sealing the enclosing means; means for providing a first path for a liquid to go through the enclosing means; and means for providing a second path for the liquid to be consumed.
