A crushing device (100) includes a base (101). A first sidewall (103) and a second sidewall (104) extend distally from the base. A crushing assembly (102) is coupled between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The crushing assembly can include a first crushing plate (601) pivotally coupled about a first pivot (406) defining a first axis (111) and a second crushing plate (602) pivotally coupled about a second pivot (507) defining a second axis (112). A lever (110) is coupled to the first crushing plate, and is selectively movable between a first position (600) and a second position (700) to rotate the first crushing plate in a first radial direction (703). A cog insert (604), coupled between the first crushing plate and the second crushing plate, causes the second crushing plate to rotate in a second radial direction (704), opposite the first radial direction.

A tablet splitter has a top portion that includes a splitting wedge with first and second angled sides defining a leading edge, and a bottom portion that includes a platform. The platform has a flexible matrix and a flexible tablet stabilizer disposed atop the flexible matrix for holding a tablet. The leading edge of the splitting wedge contacts the tablet and causes the flexible matrix and the flexible tablet stabilizer to flex thereunder. The tablet splits in response to the contact with the splitting wedge upon receiving a sufficient amount of force.

The current invention directs to a medicine pill cutter. The medicine pill cutter comprises a top portion, a bottom portion and a triangular insert. The top portion has a central rib and two side ribs, wherein a triangular slot is formed between the two side ribs. The bottom portion is linked with the top portion via a pivot. The bottom portion has two blades and a spring positioned between the two blades, wherein the spring has a notch and the two blades are arranged in a V-shape. The triangular insert has a knot connected to the notch of the spring. A pill can be evenly divided into more than two sections via the use of the medicine pill cutter of the present invention.

A turntable is divided into an inner part (50) and an outer part (40). The angular speed of a large-diameter turntable 40 is made higher than the angular speed of a small-diameter turntable 50, and a tablet transfer path 32 of a straightening guide 30 is configured to be a spiral path extending from an inner end portion 32a to an outer end portion 32b. A tablet contact portion (64) of a tablet holding mechanism is reciprocated with respect to a temporary holding area (62) located before the outer end portion 32b. A tablet is temporarily held in the temporary holding area and when a long narrow blade insertion slit 43 in the large-diameter turntable 40 reaches the temporary holding area, a tablet cutting blade of a tablet cutting mechanism is reciprocated with respect to the temporary holding area and a blade insertion notch (62, 63) to split the tablet.

A cutting device includes a first blade having a first sharp edge aligned in a first direction, and a second blade having a second sharp edge aligned in a second direction, opposite the first direction. The second blade is oriented adjacently in proximity with the first blade so that they may slide closely besides one another. The first sharp edge has a first concavely-curved indent, and the second sharp edge has a second concavely-curved indent aligned opposite the first concavely-curved indent. The first and second concavely-curved indents form an opening between the first sharp edge and the second sharp edge. The opening is adapted to receive a pill for cutting when the first blade is moved in the first direction and the second blade is concurrently moved in the second direction, which effectively splits the pill for precise dosing and reduced waste.

A pill crushing assembly for crushing and cutting a pill includes a plunger unit that may be manipulated. A base is provided and the base may be positioned on a support surface. A pill is selectively positioned on the base. The plunger unit is selectively positioned on the base. Thus, the plunger unit selectively crushes the pill on the base.

A rhythmic pill crusher, including: a crushing cover including a cylindrical boss, wherein a plurality of first threads formed on a first wall of the crushing cover and around a column portion of the cylindrical boss, wherein the first wall is distant from the column portion of the cylindrical boss; and a supporting platform including a cylindrical recess for receiving the cylindrical boss and a plurality of second threads formed, in response to the first threads, on a second wall of the supporting platform; wherein the first threads are loosing engaged with the second threads, the first threads spirally go upward and downward along the second threads, or the first threads suspend relative to the second threads, which allows the first threads to rotates remaining in a same height. The pill crusher can be operated efficiently and easily and can be cleaned easily for reducing cross contaminations.

A tablet splitter has a top portion that includes a splitting wedge with first and second angled sides defining a leading edge, and a bottom portion that includes a platform. The platform has a flexible matrix and a flexible tablet stabilizer disposed atop the flexible matrix for holding a tablet. The leading edge of the splitting wedge contacts the tablet and causes the flexible matrix and the flexible tablet stabilizer to flex thereunder. The tablet splits in response to the contact with the splitting wedge upon receiving a sufficient amount of force.

A device for splitting a pill comprising a pill splitter, including a base slidingly engaged with a jaw. The base and the jaw each include a cutting edge. The jaw slidingly engages to the base to permit the jaw and base to slide and allow the cutting edge of the jaw and the base to split a pill. A lid pivotally engages to the pill splitter to retain the pill within an interior space while two or more flexible guides positioned on a pair of central portions retain the pill in a suitable position to split the pill via the cutting edge. The suitable position of the guides is achieved via a plurality of levers to retain the pill in a central region of the pill splitter.

A capsule shredding device is provided, which includes first and second housing sections. The first housing section has a chamber slightly larger than the capsule located in one end of the housing section so that when the capsule is seated in the chamber it cannot freely rotate in the chamber. A vial is releasably coupled to other end of the first housing section. One or more passageways extend from the bottom of the chamber toward the other end of the second housing section. The second housing section has an internal chamber with a spike extending into the chamber integrally formed on the interior upper section of the housing section. When the two housing sections are threaded together such that are drawn towards each other, the spike pierces the capsule, and upon further rotation the spike shreds the capsule thereby releasing the powder contained therein which flows through the one or more passageways into interior of the vial. Gaskets between the first and second housing sections and between the second housing section and the vial prevent powder or liquid in the vial escaping.
