The present disclosure provides a keyed medication cartridge for use in a handheld oral medication dispensing device. The medication cartridge is designed with alignment features for connecting to the medication dispensing device. The cartridge includes a shell and medication vial therein. In use, alignment features on the dispensing device pass through the shell and lock against the vial, allowing a user to depress the shell and activate a pump assembly to force medication from the medication cartridge.

There is provided a medicine applicator that can attachably and detachably hold a treatment article and that can provide as large an effective area as possible of the treatment article used for application. A medicine applicator 100 includes: an arm 10 extending in a longitudinal direction, of which one end portion side is a grip portion 11; and a pedestal portion 222 disposed on the arm 10 to be substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the arm 10. The medicine applicator 100 is provided with a pair of pressing tools 130 that attachably and detachably hold an application member 300 on the pedestal portion 222, and the pair of pressing tools 130 include a repulsive tool 292 that generates a pressing force to bring the application member 300 into contact with the pedestal portion 222.

A method for ingesting a medicinal pill by mouth. The method comprises having a beverage comprising an aqueous liquid and a gas dissolved in the aqueous liquid. A pill is placed on the tongue. The beverage is poured into the mouth, wherein the beverage generates gas bubbles. The gas bubbles lift the pill off the tongue. The subject then swallows the beverage together with the pill.
