Secure portable pill canister for order fulfillment
One aspect of this disclosure provides a medication fulfillment canister. In one embodiment, the canister comprises a bottom section having a tray portion for receiving a medication therein. An upper dispensing compartment is located over a rearward end of the bottom section that is removably attached to the bottom section. A lower edge of the upper dispensing compartment is located above the bottom section to form an opening therebetween to allow a medication to pass therethrough and into the tray portion. A tray lid is removably attached to the canister and configured to cover the tray portion and rotate between an open position and a closed position. A lock is located within a wall of the bottom section that locks the tray lid in the closed position.

Container Tray Assembly With Child Resistant Sleeve
In one embodiment there is provided a container tray assembly configured to hold a substance and including a container tray and sleeve. A small gap created between the outside profile of the container tray and the interior profile of the sleeve and the sleeve being deformable allows a user to squeeze the sleeve to permit the container tray to slid with respect to the sleeve and therefore allowing the user to gain access to a container tray interior cavity.
MEDICATION DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHODS
A medication dispensing device may include a plurality of trays, each tray optionally including a load cell configured to measure a mass/weight of a medication contained in the respective tray. Each tray is placeable in a medication accessible position and a medication inaccessible position. The medication dispensing device includes a user interface configured to provide instructions and/or other information with regard to access for each medication. A processor provides instructions to selectively place each tray in the medication accessible position, and to determine, based on any change in the mass of the medication placed in the medication accessible position, whether the appropriate amount of the medication is removed from the tray.

An assistance system is also proposed for facilitating the taking of substances by a user, the system comprising this dispensing device and a processing device of a person in charge of the dispenser device adapted to communicate with each other.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPOUNDING MEDICATION
A medication compounding system is described that is capable of receiving one or more medications and diluents and that includes an array of moveable transfer cartridges to access a medication container and to transfer medication. The transferred medication may be joined with a diluent to form a compounded medication. The resulting compounded medication may then be directed to a filling port where a compounded medication container may be coupled. A second medication container may align with a second transfer cartridge to transfer a second medication. Because the device may comprise one or more medications and diluents, a series of compounded medications may be created using an individual transfer cartridge for each medication.

Medication management and reporting technology
Medication management and reporting technology, in which output from at least one sensor configured to sense physical activity in a building in which medication of a patient is located is monitored and a determination is made to capture one or more images of the medication based on the monitoring. A camera is used to capture an image of the medication and the captured image is analyzed to detect a state of the medication. Information regarding a schedule by which the medication should be taken by the patient is accessed and an expected state of the medication is determined. The detected state is compared with the expected state and a determination is made that the patient has departed from the schedule based on the comparison revealing that the detected state does not match the expected state. A message indicating the departure from the schedule is sent based on the determination.
System and method for dispensing medicine using a manual fill tray apparatus
Systems and methods are disclosed for a medical pill dispensing system using a manual fill tray. The system includes a plurality of canisters and/or a manual fill trays for storing one or more pills. Each of the plurality of canisters and/or manual fill trays are configured to dispense one or more pills that are to be packed for a patient. The system also includes a hopper system that receives the pills dispensed from either a canister and/or a manual fill tray. The manual fill tray includes a plurality of storage section. Each storage section includes a plurality of slots that are open to its top and bottom. Each storage section includes its own dispensing belt which wraps around the slots of the storage section. The wrapping creates a base at the bottom of each slot as well as either an opening or a cover for the top of each slot. The dispensing belt includes dispensing openings and deposition openings. The system operates the manual fill tray in one of three modes, depositing mode, lockdown mode, and dispensing mode. In its deposition mode, an RFID system coupled to the manual fill tray reads an RFID tag on a container that is used for depositing pills into the slots of the manual fill tray. The system queries a database to verify that the pills in the depositing container are meant for the specific patient for whom the system is currently processing a pill package. Upon confirmation, system authorizes deposition of pills and displaces the dispensing belt such that its deposition openings overlap the slots of the manual fill tray thereby creating an opening to the top and allowing deposition while at the same time ensuring that the bottom of the dispensing belt acts as a base to the slots to hold the pills deposited therein. In its lockdown mode, the system displaces the dispensing belt such that both the top and bottom of the slots are covered by the dispensing belt thereby not allowing any deposition or dispensing from the slots. Provided herein is a system for automated dispensing of articles. Systems may include: a robotic arm; an end-of-arm tool attached to the robotic arm; a scanning device proximate the end-of-arm tool; and a controller to control the robotic arm and the end-of-arm tool. The end-of-arm tool may include a body and two or more vacuum cups extending from the body, where the controller controls a level of suction provided to each of the two or more vacuum cups individually. Each of the two or more vacuum cups extending from the body may be movable between a retracted position proximate the body, and an extended position away from the body of the end-of-arm tool in response to instruction from the controller. Suction may be provided only to the vacuum cups of the two or more vacuum cups that are disposed in the extended position.
