TRAY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FILLING PILLS INTO BLISTER PACKS
A tray system for filling pills into a blister pack is provided, as well as a corresponding method. The system includes a mounting tray to support the blister pack, rows of lights, with each light adapted to illuminate the pill-chambers of the blister pack; a depositing plate placed over the mounting tray and includes depositing-plate rows with pairs of pill-drop surface and a pill-hole, each pill-hole faces a corresponding pill-chamber; a sliding tray placed over the depositing plate which includes sliding-tray rows with opened cavities, and is slidable over the depositing plate from a pill-drop position to a chamber-filling position. Moving the sliding tray from the pill-drop position to the chamber-filling position pushes the pills from the pill-drop surfaces to the pill-chambers. The depositing plate material allows lights emissions to pass through the pill-drop surfaces while hiding the pills in the pill-chambers of the blister pack.
SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC FILLING OF MEDICATION ORGANIZERS
A system for automatic filling of medication organizers comprises i) a storage unit for medication containers that is accessible from a first side thereof ii) a plurality of medication organizer filling units, each having a temporary storage rack that is accessible from a side of the medication filling units that faces the storage unit, and iii) a container handling system that is positioned between the storage unit and the temporary storage racks and that is movable between the storage unit and each of the temporary storage racks for transferring selected medication containers therebetween. The system allows minimizing idle times by moving medication containers between the storage unit and temporary storage racks simultaneously to the filling process.
PORTABLE PILL DISPENSER DEVICE USING PILL CARTRIDGE WITH ENCLOSED PILL STRIP
A portable pill dispenser device mountable with one or more pill cartridges that dispense pills by winding a pill strip that encloses pills between flexible films. The pills are enclosed in the pill strip and are released as the films of the pill strip are separated. The pill dispense device include actuators (e.g., motors) that cause winding cylinders in each of the pill cartridges to rotate, causing the pill strip to move towards an opening of each pill cartridge, separate the films of the pill strip, and release the pills through the opening. Indicia may be marked on at least one of the films to enable detection of the moving distance of the pill strip. The pill dispense device includes a sensor for detecting the indicia so that the movement of the films and release of the pills can be tightly controlled.
Medication management and reporting technology
Medication management and reporting technology, in which output from at least one sensor configured to sense physical activity in a building in which medication of a patient is located is monitored and a determination is made to capture one or more images of the medication based on the monitoring. A camera is used to capture an image of the medication and the captured image is analyzed to detect a state of the medication. Information regarding a schedule by which the medication should be taken by the patient is accessed and an expected state of the medication is determined. The detected state is compared with the expected state and a determination is made that the patient has departed from the schedule based on the comparison revealing that the detected state does not match the expected state. A message indicating the departure from the schedule is sent based on the determination.
Apparatus for dispensing tablets and method for controlling the same
An apparatus for dispensing tablets according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a main body including a plurality of tablet input parts to collect the inputted tablets in a tray disposed therein; and at least one input sensor disposed in the main body to sense whether the tablets are inputted.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF TRANSPARENT PILLS IN BLISTER PACKER MACHINES USING HIGH RESOLUTION 3D STEREO RECONSTRUCTION BASED ON COLOR LINEAR CAMERAS
A system and method of inspection may include capturing image data by a stereo imaging device. A determination as to whether noise indicative of a transparent or specular object exists in the image data may be made. A report that a transparent or specular object was captured in the image data may be made.
Medicine dispensing system and medicine dispensing device
There is provided a medicine dispensing system configured such that a medicine dispensing device includes a sub unit having a function to dispense medicine that is connected to a medicine dispensing device that includes a main unit having a function of packing medicines. There is also provided a medicine dispensing device that can be appropriately integrated with such a medicine dispensing system. The medicine dispensing system includes, in some embodiments a main unit, a sub unit and a transfer device connecting the main unit and the sub unit. The medicine dispensing system transfers the medicine dispensed in the sub unit to the main unit by means of a transfer device and dispenses the medicine at a medicine packing part together with the medicine dispensed from a main storage part in the main unit.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR OPIOID OVERDOSE PREVENTION
Methods and apparatuses for opioid overdose prevention are described. The apparatus comprises a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to receive one or more measurements related to one or more vitals of a user, and cause, based on the one or more measurements, administration of a first dose of an overdose prevention medication to the user.
CHILD-RESISTANT AND SENIOR-FRIENDLY BLISTER PACKAGE
A package includes a blank having a face panel and a back panel. The face panel includes apertures and face tabs. The back panel includes gates that correspond with apertures, and tab strips that overlap the gates and are adjoined to back tabs. The gates are defined by partial-depth cuts through the interior side of the back panel and have a generally wave-like or zig-zag shape that defines two opposed interlocking flaps. A blister pack is sealed between the face panel and the back panel whereby blisters align over gates and protrude through apertures. To remove an item from a blister, a tab is pressed out of the panels, a tab strip is peeled away from the back panel, and pressure is applied to force the item through the backing sheet of the blister pack and through the opposed flaps of the gate.
Smart pill dispenser
A smart pill dispenser has a cylindrical interior housing portion divided into an upper storage portion, a lower control and dispensing portion, and a removable top. A cylindrical carousel with an open top and bottom has a plurality of spoke walls forming interior pill containers. A hole portion disposed through a bottom wall of the upper wall portion defines a pathway through the housing assembly. A slide assembly leads from the hole to a tray for dispensed pills. A motor coupled to a rechargeable battery and actuator assembly has a shaft coupled to an axle portion of the spoke divider and is designed to laterally rotate the spoke and axle. A computerized control system assembly is communicatively coupled to the motor assembly and a user-control assembly. The user-control assembly is disposed on an outer surface of the housing and is designed to interface with users directly or wirelessly.
