Smart pill dispenser
A smart pill dispenser has a cylindrical interior housing portion divided into an upper storage portion, a lower control and dispensing portion, and a removable top. A cylindrical carousel with an open top and bottom has a plurality of spoke walls forming interior pill containers. A hole portion disposed through a bottom wall of the upper wall portion defines a pathway through the housing assembly. A slide assembly leads from the hole to a tray for dispensed pills. A motor coupled to a rechargeable battery and actuator assembly has a shaft coupled to an axle portion of the spoke divider and is designed to laterally rotate the spoke and axle. A computerized control system assembly is communicatively coupled to the motor assembly and a user-control assembly. The user-control assembly is disposed on an outer surface of the housing and is designed to interface with users directly or wirelessly.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR GUIDING AND TRACKING MEDICATION USAGE
Methods and systems are provided for tracking and guiding a patient's clinically directed medication usage. Medicaments are placed in secure passive packaging that must be unlocked to enable dispensing of a dose or a set of doses. This packaging is designed to be difficult to open manually, and instead is designed to dispense only when used in combination with an unlocking device. The unlocking device is a separate device containing electronics, mechatronics or both, to unlock and dispense from the packaging and to track and guide usage. Together, the secure container and the unlocking device track medication usage, deter an excessive rate of patient usage, and deter unauthorized access to medication.
Devices and methods for facilitating and controlling use of a medication
A method for providing a drug includes providing an inactive form of a drug. The method also includes chemically converting the inactive form of the drug to an active form to provide a drug formulation usable by a patient in need thereof, including using a device configured to remove an abuse-preventing additive from the inactive form of the drug. The method also includes dispensing the drug formulation to the patient in need thereof.
Pill dispenser
A pill dispenser has a case, a pill storage plate, a turning assembly, and an operation assembly. The case has a dispensing hole formed on a bottom of the case. The pill storage plate is pivotally mounted in the case and has multiple pill chambers arranged around and adapted to sequentially align to and communicate with the dispensing hole when the pill storage plate is turned. The turning assembly is mounted in the case. The operation assembly has a pushing lever and an actuating unit. The pushing lever is pivotally mounted through the case. The actuating unit is located inside the case and fixed to the pushing lever. When the pushing lever pivots relative to the case, the actuating unit pushes the turning assembly and then the turning assembly turns the pill storage plate. By this, the pill dispenser is capable of dispensing pills immediately upon a simple and effort-saving operation.
INSPECTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND TABLET PACKAGING DEVICE
An inspection assistance system includes an inspection display processing part which is configured to display, per unit of packing, a capture image of a tablet which is captured before the tablet dispensed from one or both of a tablet cassette and a manual distribution unit based on prescription data is packed into a packing material in a tablet packing device, and is configured to display a result of an inspection process which is executed based on the prescription data and identification information of the tablet included in the capture image of the tablet. Thus, it is possible to assist a pharmacist's inspection task carried out with respect to the tablets packed by the tablet packing device.
MEDICINE BOTTLE CAP
A medicine bottle cap includes a flip-top assembly and an outer cap pivotably attached to the flip top assembly and having an interior wall of the side wall that includes gear teeth. The medicine bottle cap further includes a pill delivery gear having gear teeth that engage the gear teeth in the outer cap and an inner cap having a slot for receiving a tab from the pill delivery gear for rotation thereof.
MEDICAMENT MANAGEMENT KIT
A medicament management kit for managing medical marijuana, wherein all the paraphernalia necessary for managing the storage and dispensing of medical marijuana are in a convenient and durable compact kit.
SMART CONTAINER FOR ENHANCING INTENDED MOVEMENTS OF AN OBJECT
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a platform for monitoring patient adherence to a medical regimen. Certain aspects of the present disclosure also proved various components that may help enable such a platform, such as a smart collar capable of detecting removal and/or insertion of objects from a container (such as a pill container). In some cases, a smart collar may include a first portion having sides adapted to guide objects toward an opening in the first portion sized to allow the objects to pass, at least one detector proximate the opening and responsive to removal of objects from the container as they pass through the opening in the first portion, and a processor configured to process a first signal generated by the detector to update a monitored count of objects in the container.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITORING PATIENT USE OF MEDICATION
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a cloud-based platform for monitoring patient adherence to a medication regimen. A cloud-based platform to monitor and promote patient adherence, as described herein, may help enable various useful applications.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRACKING MOVEMENT OF AN OBJECT WITHIN A CONTAINER
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a platform for monitoring patient adherence to a medication regimen. Certain aspects of the present disclosure also proved various components that may help enable such a platform, such as a smart collar capable of detecting removal and/or insertion of objects from a container (such as a pill container).
