A medication dispensing system includes an automated dispensing device that includes cells with electronically activated locks. The device is configured to detect when medication counts in the cells fall below predetermined thresholds. The system further includes a plurality of first electronic devices that are associated with some of the cells and that have imagers. In response to any of the medication counts in the cells being below the predetermined threshold, the automated dispensing device is configured to automatically send a replenishment needed notification to the first electronic device associated with the cell. That first electronic device is configured to transmit a picture of a medication to a second electronic device. In response to a positive verification by a user of the second electronic device that the medication in the picture is the correct medication, the second electronic device is configured to transmit an unlock signal to the automated dispensing device.

ADAPTABLE PHARMACEUTICAL COUNTING DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND ADAPTER

A system for adaptably collecting pharmaceuticals into various containers is provided. The system includes an automated pharmaceutical counting device with a loading portion for accepting the pharmaceuticals for counting, an exit portion for dispensing the pharmaceuticals, and a receiving area configured to interchangeably accommodate a bulk collection vessel and an adapter for an individual container for an individual prescription. The automated pharmaceutical counting device dispenses the pharmaceuticals through the exit portion and into an inserted one of the bulk collection vessel and the adapter.

A shift clutch transmission having a manually actuatable trigger element is arranged upstream of the gear transmission. The driven roller can be driven in incremental strips by the shift clutch transmission. A device and method is disclosed for dispensing active ingredient-containing or active ingredient-carrying strips with a largely equal dosage are developed.

A pill dispenser includes a housing that surrounds a removable container for holding pills to be dispensed by the pill dispenser. In use, the medication only contacts the removable container and the pill outlet, so that when all of the pills within the removable container have been dispensed, the removable container may be removed from the container and safely disposed of before installing a new removable container. This allows the parts of the pill dispenser that have not contacted the medication to be reused.

A medication dispensing apparatus includes a housing for at storing at least one medication in bulk, a dispenser, and a verification sensor. The at least one medication including a plurality of doses of the at least one medication. The dispenser separates a single dose from the at least one medication in bulk. The dispenser moves the single dose of the at least one medication from a position within the housing to a position outside the housing. The verification sensor verifies that the at least one medication is a correct medication.

When the disc section is rotated, a wheel arm engages with the arm, causing the arm to rotate away from the stop and allowing the rotation of the disc section to continue in a first direction. The stop adjacent to the arm prevents the arm from rotating in a second direction and therefore prevents the disc section from rotating in a second direction. The rotation of the disc sections dispense medication from the device.
