Disclosed is a medicine dispensing device and a method for dispensing medicine, wherein the medicine dispensing device includes a tray and a drop plate below the tray in a drop direction, wherein the drop plate is slidable relative to the tray between a hold position and a drop position, wherein the medicine dispensing device further includes one or more retaining members for retaining the drop plate relative to the tray in the drop direction when the drop plate is in a dispensing path, wherein the drop plate is slidable in a release direction into a release position outside of the dispensing path, wherein the one or more retaining members are arranged for releasing the drop plate from the tray in the release position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHARMACEUTICAL DISPENSING
A pharmaceutical dispenser for dispensing a quantity of pharmaceuticals into a container includes a pharmaceutical counter to count and release the quantity of pharmaceuticals. A pharmaceutical outlet delivers the quantity of pharmaceuticals to the container. A pharmaceutical gate receives the quantity of pharmaceuticals from the pharmaceutical counter. The pharmaceutical gate includes a receiver sized and shaped to define a pharmaceutical receiving space to hold the quantity of pharmaceuticals. The receiver moves between a receiving position and a dispensing position. In the receiving position, the receiver receives the quantity of pharmaceuticals in the pharmaceutical receiving space from the pharmaceutical counter. In the dispensing position, the receiver dispenses the quantity of pharmaceuticals toward the pharmaceutical outlet.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHARMACEUTICAL DISPENSING
A pharmaceutical dispenser for dispensing a quantity of pharmaceuticals into a container includes a pharmaceutical counter to count and release the quantity of pharmaceuticals. Dosing device for measuring and dispensing mini-tablets
A multiple dose spoon device for scooping, retaining, and delivering to a patient a specific number of mini-tablets from a container, e.g., bottle, or bulk pile, of mini-tablets. The device comprises a top housing, a bottom housing, and one or two sliders movably positioned between top housing and bottom housing, said: a) top housing having a plurality of nests, and also having a handle with an open window and slider retention notches, and b) one or two sliders with slider tabs, having a plurality of sequential whole number markings equivalent to the plurality of nests, and a plurality minus 1 of tablet blocking ribs, wherein slider movement is regulated by the slider retention notches, and wherein the plurality of nests and the plurality of whole number markings are a same number. Alternatively, the top housing does not have slider retention notches, and the one or two sliders have slider retention notches.

Pill sorting devices are described herein that include a cavity formed from a bottom, a front, a first side wall, and a second side wall, a channel formed at the intersection of the first side wall and the second side wall, and a delivery channel within the front and first side wall or the within the front and the second side wall, wherein the delivery channel is offset from the channel. The pill sorting, counting, and dispensing device can be useful for people with arthritis or poor sight, or could be used commercially in pharmacies or industrially. Methods of making and using the pill sorting, counting, and dispensing devices are also described.

The invention provides an adaptor for a medicament delivery device is configured to enable a set dosage of a medicament to be drawn into and/or expelled from the device, the adaptor including: a body configured to be coupled to the device; an attachment portion movable with respect to the body and configured for attachment with a first part of the device; an engaging portion movable with the attachment portion; and a receiver configured to receive a movement constraint guide (MCG) and facilitate engagement between the engaging portion and the MCG; wherein the MCG includes one or more physical features defining at least an aspect of the set dosage; and wherein activation of said first part of the device to draw and/or expel the medicament is stopped when the set dosage is reached by engagement between the engaging portion and at least one of the one or more physical features of the MCG. The invention thus allows ready control of one or more aspects of dosage administration, which can be the amount of a dose and/or or the repeats of a dose.
