Anti-spill pill counting tray
A pharmacy pill tray includes a viewing platform with a floor surface to support pills thereon, and a generally cylindrical-shaped transfer chamber. The transfer chamber includes a semi-cylinder trough with an open top extending along and below an edge of the floor surface and a semi-cylinder door secured to the trough to open and close the open top of the trough. The transfer chamber is configured to selectively receive at least some of the pills from the floor surface. The door includes a primary door portion pivotably secured to the trough, and a secondary door portion pivotably secured to the primary door portion. A dispensing spout extends from an open end of the trough for dispensing the pills from the trough. A transfer gate is movable between a blocking position which prevents dispensing the pills through the spout, and a dispensing position which permits dispensing the pills through the spout.
DISPENSABLE UNIT RETRIEVAL MECHANISM
A system enables management of dispensable units by supporting functions such as retrieval, scheduled distribution, analysis, and notifications. To this end, a dispensable retrieval mechanism may be programmed to carry out blind retrievals of dispensable units using a retrieval strategy with a predetermined sequence of retrieval attempts (e.g., fixed or varying two-dimensional retrieval patterns), which may be open loop or closed loop. Techniques may also include the identification of dispensable units through optical sensors and weight measurement devices that can detect, e.g., a texture, a shape, and a size of dispensable units. Such identification can be used to program retrieval attempts by a retrieval robot and in the formulation of the retrieval pattern. Additionally, networked notification systems for dispensable units can be used for updating rules or schedules related to the dispensable units, or alerting users and remote resources of any potential misuse or hazards of the dispensable units.
Pill case and medication reminder system
A pill case and medication reminder system is provided. A pill case and a reminder system are in data transfer communication with one another. The system can also include a global positioning system, an accelerometer, or both. A pill case compartment is configured to hold a medication. The pill case has a sensor or sensor array configured to detect the amount of medication in the pill case. A pill case processor is configured to generate a data signal pertaining to the amount of medication in the pill case. The system can generate medication reminders, for example, pertaining to refilling a subscription or taking medication with food. The pill case can include or connect to a phone case for a smartphone, or can be integrated into a smartwatch.

Networked management of dispensables
A system enables dispensing, tracking, storage, processing, analysis, management, fulfillment and/or commerce relating to dispensables, such as consumables. The system may include packages that hold consumables and function either independently or in concert with numerous smart configuration devices, such as tabletop machines or mobile machines, as well as remote servers, databases, and other cloud-based resources. A distributed software layer ties all devices and packages together and adds advanced interactivity, communication, analysis, and self-regulation functionality.

TRANSFER DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING AN ARRAY OF DOSES OF MEDICINES
A transfer device for transferring an array of doses of medicines, the transfer device comprising a body extending along a main axis between a top face located at an upper part of the body and a bottom face located at a lower part of the body, the top face including a group of entrance openings arranged in an entrance matrix in a plane transverse to the main axis at the level of the top face, the entrance openings each being arranged to receive a dose of medicines of the array, the body comprising a bundle of channels for passing doses of medicines therethrough, each channel extending along the body from a single entrance opening of the group of entrance openings to a single exit opening of a group of exit openings arranged in an exit matrix in a plane transverse to the main axis of the body at the level of the bottom face, at least one of the channels extending along the body with a component transverse to the main axis of the body so as to transpose the array of doses of medicines from a first spatial configuration corresponding to the entrance matrix to a second spatial configuration corresponding to the exit matrix.
Pharmacy pill viewer
A pharmacy pill tray for viewing and/or counting pills includes a viewing portion comprising a substantially planar floor surface for supporting the pills thereon, an enclosed funnel extending from the viewing portion and configured to selectively receive pills from the support surface, and a spout extending from the enclosed funnel and having an inner diameter provided with a structure sized and shaped to selectively cooperate with an external thread of first-sized pill vial to removably secure the spout to the first-sized pill vial for transferring pills between the spout and the first-sized pill vial. The spout has an outer diameter sized to be selectively and closely inserted into a second-sized pill vial that is larger than the first-sized pill bottle vial for transferring pills between the spout and the second-sized pill vial.
