The invention provides an adaptor for a medicament delivery device is configured to enable a set dosage of a medicament to be drawn into and/or expelled from the device, the adaptor including: a body configured to be coupled to the device; an attachment portion movable with respect to the body and configured for attachment with a first part of the device; an engaging portion movable with the attachment portion; and a receiver configured to receive a movement constraint guide (MCG) and facilitate engagement between the engaging portion and the MCG; wherein the MCG includes one or more physical features defining at least an aspect of the set dosage; and wherein activation of said first part of the device to draw and/or expel the medicament is stopped when the set dosage is reached by engagement between the engaging portion and at least one of the one or more physical features of the MCG. The invention thus allows ready control of one or more aspects of dosage administration, which can be the amount of a dose and/or or the repeats of a dose.

One embodiment provides a pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) including a base portion (810) and a counting tray (830) provided on the base portion (810). The counting tray (830) is tilted about a first axis to empty medications into a first package and tiled above a second axis to empty medications into a second package. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) also includes a camera system (950) to capture images of the counting tray (830), the packages, and a label on the packages. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) verifies whether a correct number and type of medications are received on the counting tray (830).

One embodiment provides a pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) including a base portion (810) and a counting tray (830) provided on the base portion (810). The counting tray (830) is tilted about a first axis to empty medications into a first package and tiled above a second axis to empty medications into a second package. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) also includes a camera system (950) to capture images of the counting tray (830), the packages, and a label on the packages. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) verifies whether a correct number and type of medications are received on the counting tray (830).

A pill case and medication reminder system is provided. A pill case and a reminder system are in data transfer communication with one another. The system can also include a global positioning system, an accelerometer, or both. A pill case compartment is configured to hold a medication. The pill case has a sensor or sensor array configured to detect the amount of medication in the pill case. A pill case processor is configured to generate a data signal pertaining to the amount of medication in the pill case. The system can generate medication reminders, for example, pertaining to refilling a subscription or taking medication with food. The pill case can include or connect to a phone case for a smartphone, or can be integrated into a smartwatch.

An aspect of the present disclosure is related to a medication container that includes a receptacle with an interior, a bottom wall, and an open top. A refill indicator is disposed in the interior of the receptacle and in contact with the bottom wall and extends towards the open top. The refill indicator has a top surface. A plurality of pills are disposed in the receptacle, and a pill count of the pills is greater than a predetermined notification pill count such that at least one of the pills contacts the top surface of the refill indicator. The refill indicator is sized and shaped such that the top surface is free of pills when the pill count is at or is less than the notification pill count to notify a user that a refill may be necessary.

An aspect of the present disclosure is related to a medication container that includes a receptacle with an interior, a bottom wall, and an open top. A refill indicator is disposed in the interior of the receptacle and in contact with the bottom wall and extends towards the open top. The refill indicator has a top surface. A plurality of pills are disposed in the receptacle, and a pill count of the pills is greater than a predetermined notification pill count such that at least one of the pills contacts the top surface of the refill indicator. The refill indicator is sized and shaped such that the top surface is free of pills when the pill count is at or is less than the notification pill count to notify a user that a refill may be necessary.
