MATERIAL DISPENSER AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
A system for medicine dosage compliance may comprise a dispensing component that provides for medicine to be dispensed based at least upon authorized identification of a user and a secondary authorizer. The dispensing component may comprise an identity authentication component that automatically authenticates an identity of the user and the secondary authorizer at the time of a dispensing event. The system may further comprise a communication component providing one or more notifications to one or more third parties. The communication component may comprise a wireless personal area networking component that sets up a local networking connection between the dispensing component and a local device to share data between the dispensing component and a local device. The local device may communicatively be coupled to a remote network component. A notification component may generate notification information of the dispensing event for one or more third parties.

Systems, methods, assemblies, and components for medication reminders
To address the widespread problem of half of all patients failing to take prescribed medications as directed by their physicians, the present inventor devised, among other things, one or more medication reminders. For example, one embodiment, particularly suitable for only two- or three-a-day prescriptions, comprises a repositionable indicator mechanism that attaches via a self-adhesive microsuction backing to the top or other surface of a plastic prescription medication bottle. The indicator, which can take the form of a slider that moves between two or three indicator positions, in some cases using a detent locking mechanism, to simultaneously indicate the prescribed dosage frequency, last dosage taken, and remaining dosages for a day.

Abacus medication dispenser and storage
A device including a portable frame, comprising a tray and a lid that closes upon the tray, and multiple cavities formed in the tray and configured to receive a container is provided. The cavities are arranged in a pattern according to a dosage dispense sequence for a medication from the container, and to a type of a medication to be dispensed from the container; and a marking along a side of the pattern, the marking indicative of the dosage dispense sequence corresponding to one or more cavities aligned with the marking in the pattern. A method for using the above device to dispense medication to a patient is also provided.

Compliance pill tray system
A prescription compliance system including a pill tray having a plurality of sequence compartments within a frequency section and dosage tables on prescription container systems that provide graphical dosage instruction information for the patient in dosing each of the sequence compartments of the pill tray with a plurality of prescribed medications.

PILL DISPENSING ASSEMBLY
A drug dispensing assembly for dispensing solid drug delivery vessels from a bottle includes a first layer having a vessel exit passage. A second layer is operatively connected to the first layer, and includes a vessel entry passage horizontally offset from the exit passage. A vessel dispensing layer is positioned between the first and second layers, is movable with respect to the first and second layers, and includes a holding chamber sized to receive the vessel. The holding chamber is movable from a first loading position in which the holding chamber is aligned with the entry passage and is horizontally offset from the exit passage to receive the vessel, to a second dispensing position in which the holding chamber is aligned with the exit passage and is horizontally offset from the entry passage to dispense the vessel through the exit passage. The holding chamber may be configured with a fulcrum and a ramp. Interchangeable alignment inserts and interchangeable chamber inserts may be inserted into slots within the second layer and vessel dispensing layer for receiving interchangeable inserts.
Compact Pill Bottle Cap Requiring Biometric Authentication for Removal
A pill bottle cap provides access to authorized users using a biometric authentication feature. The pill bottle cap broadly includes: a shroud; a plurality of clamp members, each movably mounted to the shroud; a drive member interconnected with each of the clamp members to cause the clamp members to move in a first direction when the drive member is actuated in a first direction, and to cause the clamp members to move in a second direction when the drive member is actuated in a second direction; an actuator configured to actuate the drive member to selectively move in each of the first and second directions; and biometric identification module coupled to the actuator, and configured to activate the actuator to cause the selective movement upon identification of an authorized user. Each of the components are configured and positioned to minimize a height and a volume of the pill bottle cap.
