Long cartridge case

A method and tooling for forming a cartridge case blank comprising backward extruding a tube from a length of wire stock in multiple backward extrusion steps with progressive tooling to obtain an intermediate blank that can be finish drawn without a preceding annealing step and which if otherwise not subjected to multiple backward extrusion steps, would require annealing prior to finish drawing to avoid tearing.

A process for stamping metallic member with forging thickness of side walls, the process comprising: a forming step by forging, which forms the metallic member by forging; a step for forging thickness of the side walls, which extrudes the side walls of the metallic member to increase thickness of the metallic member; a specular treatment step with diamond cutter, which generates metallic texture of the side walls of the metallic member; and a finish step for forging thickness of the side walls of the metallic member. Wherein the metallic member, for example, is a sheet stamping component.

METHOD FOR FORMING LARGE-SIZE QCr0.8 ALLOY TAPERED CYLINDRICAL RING

A method for forming a QCr0.8 alloy tapered cylindrical ring, including: heating a standard QCr0.8 alloy cylindrical part followed by upsetting and stretching at least twice to obtain a primary blank; heating the primary blank followed by upsetting and chamfering to obtain a secondary blank, where a diameter of a top end is greater than that of a bottom end; subjecting the secondary blank to backward extrusion to form a preform; machining the preform to remove a flash and a bottom residue; subjecting a bottom end of the preform to local bulging to enable a shape and a size thereof to match that of a drive roller in a forming tooling, so as to form a profiled ring blank; and rolling the profiled ring blank by a radial-axial ring rolling machine with the forming tooling to form the tapered cylindrical ring.

METHOD OF FORMING THICK-WALLED CYLINDER BY SPINNING
20210299727 · 2021-09-30 ·

A method of forming a cylinder by spinning. A cylindrical blank is placed at a geometric center of a lower mold cavity, where a bottom of the lower mold cavity is provided with a straight hole, and a blank block is provided at the straight hole. The lower mold cavity is fixed on a rotating worktable such that the blank is directly below an upper indenter. The indenter is driven by an extruder to move vertically downwards to extrude the cylindrical blank. Meanwhile, the lower mold cavity is driven by the worktable to uniform rotate. The intender is kept still, and the lower mold cavity is continuously driven to rotate. The lower mold cavity moves vertically upwards to process an outer surface of the blank by rotation of a petal-shape inner wall. The formed cylinder is separated from the lower mold cavity to obtain the desired cylinder.
