Method of Installing Sealed Circular Ductwork
A circular sheet metal duct having a sealant applied across the longitudinal seam. The sealant will improve the efficiency and will reduce or eliminate air leakage from the longitudinal seam. The sealant is applied during the manufacturing processes so that an installer does not have to seal the duct work. The method of manufacturing the sealant is provided.
CORED WIRE WITH PARTICULATE MATERIAL
A cored wire for refining molten metal includes a reactive core material that is in the form of a solid rod. A non-reactive particulate material radially surrounds the solid core material, and an exterior metal jacket radially surrounds the particulate material. The particulate material may include wood or other material that when introduced into the molten metal, undergoes thermal decomposition to release carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, or combinations thereof as a shroud around the core material.
SEALANT SYSTEM FOR METAL SEAMS
A sealant system for operation with a metal workpiece comprises a frame, a cam assembly mounted to said frame, a sealant reservoir, a sealant application unit connected to said sealant reservoir, and a control module for coordinating operation of said cam assembly and said sealant reservoir, wherein said control module comprises a temperature sensor for monitoring the temperature of said sealant, an integrated heating system for heating said sealant and a controller in communication with said temperature sensor and said integrated heating system.
Self-sealing circular cross-section sheet metal duct and method for manufacturing a sealed circular cross-section duct
Sealed Drive Slip
This invention provides for a sealed drive slip that may be roll-formed from sheet metal. The sealed drive slip has a gasket on the flat portion of the sheet metal and prevents air leakage between the inside and outside of the air duct.
Tubular structures and knurling systems and methods of manufacture and use thereof
A method includes: bending a sheet about a mandrel such that the sheet is tubular, wherein the sheet includes a first longitudinal end portion and a second longitudinal end portion; engaging the first longitudinal end portion with the second longitudinal end portion; and passing the sheet between a first knurling wheel and a second knurling wheel such that the first knurling wheel applies a first knurling pattern to the sheet over the first longitudinal end portion and the second longitudinal end portion and the second knurling wheel applies a second knurling pattern to the sheet over the first longitudinal end portion and the second longitudinal end portion.
Cylindrical body and apparatus
A cylindrical body includes a cylindrical member, made by forming a metal plate into a cylindrical shape such that the two end faces of the metal plate face each other, and a nonmetallic adhesive member bonding the two end faces together. The two end faces each include an adhesive part, and the adhesive member is disposed between the adhesive parts of the end faces. The adhesive part of one end face is not parallel to the adhesive part of the other end face. Each end face also includes a contact part which is in contact with the contact part of the other end face.

Seam forming apparatus for elbow duct
A device for forming seam of elbow duct is provided, and the device for forming seam of elbow duct that molds a lockseam by bending a flange of one pair of adjacent unit members, of a plurality of unit members constituting the elbow duct, including a base that supports a lower portion of the one pair of unit members; an elevating part that moves the base up and down; an angle adjustment part that adjusts a supporting angle of the base; a fixing chuck that supports an inner circumferential surface of a connecting portion of the one pair of unit members; a rotating part that rotates the fixing chuck; and a forming part that bends the flange of the one pair of unit members in a state where the flange is in contact to each other, to form the seam.
