DEVICE FOR MECHANICAL CLEANING OF WIRE RODS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DRAWN METALLIC WIRES
A device for the mechanical cleaning of wire rods for the production of drawn metallic wires includes a pair of elements supported by a shaft, each element having a truncated-conical body and a flat disk that closes the truncated-conical body, defining an internal annular space that contains the steel wool. The flat disk has openings that are shaped as a slot. The two elements being disposed one in front of the other, with a space between the two flat disks. During operation, by rapid rotation of the shaft, the steel wool expands under the effect of a centrifugal force in radial direction, thus creating an axial thrust component on the steel wool such that the steel wool escapes partially and elastically from the openings of the flat disks so that the steel wool brushes against the surface of the wire rod in transit in the space between the two elements.

METHOD FOR LASER STRIPPING A MOVING METAL PRODUCT AND PLANT FOR THE EXECUTION THEREOF
A laser descaling device and process includes a first laser sending a ray to the product to be descaled, reflected rays being intercepted by sensors that send collected information into a processing unit that calculates the absorption of the ray by the surface of the product, deduces the emissivity of the oxidized surface in the direction of the reflected rays, and correlates this emissivity with reference information prerecorded inside the processing unit; a second laser sends a ray onto the surface of the product, the spots of the rays covering the entire surface to be descaled, the second laser being controlled by a control unit receiving information provided by the processing unit making it possible to determine the operating parameters to be imposed on the second laser to obtain the descaling of the surface of the product, compared with experimental results prerecorded in the control unit.

Device for scraping debris from metal wire
A device and related method for removing debris from a metal wire formed by a process utilizing a lubricant is provided. The device includes at least two segments forming a passage through which the wire passes, each having a leading edge for stripping debris from the wire, and a resilient member positioned around the at least two segments and applying a force to the segments sufficient to cause contact between the leading edges and at least the debris on the metal wire passing through the passage. The method broadly includes the steps of moving the metal wire through a passage formed by a plurality of segments, contacting the wire moving through the passage using a leading edge of each of the at least two segments, and applying a force to the at least two segments to cause contact between the leading edge of each of the at least two segments and at least the debris on the wire passing through the passage.

STEEL WIRE DESCALING DEVICE
The invention relates to a steel wire descaling device. The device includes one or more first steel wire descalers and one or more second steel wire descalers. A descaling roller for removing an oxide scale from a surface of a steel wire is disposed on each of the first steel wire descaler and the second steel wire descaler. The descaling roller of the first steel wire descaler is disposed inclinedly, the descaling roller of the second steel wire descaler is disposed horizontally. By inclinedly brushing the steel wire by using the first steel wire descaler and flatly brushing the steel wire by using the second steel wire descaler, the combination of flat brushing and inclined brushing allows oxide scales to be from steel wires without a blind spot.

Stain removal device and stain removal method
A stain removal device and a stain removal method for removing stain, such as scale residue or smut from the surface of a wire material by a cord-shaped member, includes a wire material winding device for winding a wire material on the surface of which the stain is deposited, a cord-shaped member which is wound on the wire material and wipes off stain attached on the surface of a wire material by a sliding movement relative to the wire material, and a cord-shaped member feed device for feeding the cord-shaped member relative to the wire material. The stain removal method includes linear feeding of a wire material, winding a cord-shaped member on the wire material, wiping off the stain attached on the surface of the wire material by rolling up the cord shaped member, and blowing air onto the surface of the wire material to blow away stain remaining thereon.
