A coiling system (1) and a method for coiling a hot rolled product, the system comprising:a base assembly (3) comprising a base plate (6), a central drum (7) extending from the base plate along a vertical axis, and a receiving sleeve (8) arranged outside of said central drum,a support structure (2) configured to support the base assembly and comprising a first drive mechanism configured to rotate the base assembly around the vertical axis,a feeding device (4) configured to feed hot rolled product to the base assembly so as to form a coil (17), wherein the receiving sleeve is configured to receive a first end of the hot rolled product landing on said base plate so that a coil starts to form inside of said receiving sleeve and outside of said central drum, the base assembly being releasably connected to the first drive mechanism so that the base assembly, after coiling, may be removed from the support structure.

COILING DEVICE WITH ASYMMETRIC COOLING OF THE COILED STRIP
For a rolled metal strip, in particular a steel strip; a drive roller unit deflects the metal strip from a first transportation direction to a second transportation direction, and the strip is then fed to a coiler. The metal strip is coiled in the coiler to form a coil having a coil diameter. Plastic deformation of an end portion of the metal strip is caused such that the end portion in its uninfluenced state is curved at a curvature radius. The plastic deformation of the end portion (8) is at least partially caused by an asymmetric impingement with a cooling medium (21) on the sides of the end portion (8). The impingement of the end portion (8) with the cooling medium (21) is performed across a length of the end portion (8) that is longer than half the outermost coiling of the coil (6) but smaller than the outermost coiling of the coil (6).

Wire Tie Roller
The invention relates to a wire tie roller for producing a spoil of soft annealed wire capable of being used to tie a primary transmission wire to an insulator. The wire tie roller includes a mounting assemble, shaft mountable to the mounting assemble, and a housing assembly. The housing assembly is designed to form a cylinder and includes a roller bearing system. The housing assembly and roller bearing system are designed to allow the formed cylinder to rotate about the shaft when the mounted shaft is positioned in the cylinder. The housing assembly further includes an wire receiving aperture along the outer wall of the housing assembly near one end of the cylinder and when soft annealed wiring is inserted in the aperture the cylinder can be rotated about its center axis to produce a coil of soft annealed wiring.
Continuous rod transport system
A transport system has a dedicated trailer for transporting a small transport reel (i.e., <18-ft in diameter) of continuous rod to the field. The trailer has a pedestal that can pivot the reel. A hub motor on the pedestal can turn the reel, and a transfer unit and rod bender on the trailer can curve or straighten the rod when being fed into or out of the reel. A power and hydraulic system operates the various hydraulic components on the trailer. In other aspects, the transport system includes stands that can hold the small transport reels on a trailer within a defined transport envelope. When empty, these stands can be stacked on top of one another on the trailer for return to a facility.
