Method and Apparatus for Self-Sterilizing a Bottle
The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art and provides for an improved method and apparatus for self-sterilizing a bottle. A self-sterilizing bottle comprises a container, a mouthpiece, a collar and a cap. The container has a sidewall and a bottom defining a liquid holding space, with the sidewall forming an open end with a neck. The collar has a first position and a second position and is adapted to fasten to the neck and for removably fastening the mouthpiece to the collar when in the first position. The cap is configured to have an upright position and an inverted position and when in the upright position is adapted to fasten to the collar and cover the mouthpiece when the mouthpiece and cap are attached to the collar and when in the inverted position to rest stably on a surface. Also when in the inverted position, the cap is further adapted to hold a liquid and support the collar above the liquid when the collar is in the second position.
In another embodiment, a method for self-sterilizing a bottle is described wherein the bottle comprises a cap, a collar, a mouthpiece and a container having an open end. The method comprises placing the cap on a support surface in a position to hold a liquid. Then adding a liquid to the cap. Then placing the collar on the cap so that the collar remains above the liquid in the cap. Then placing the mouthpiece within the container. Then placing the open end of the container with the mouthpiece therein on the collar to form a self-sterilizing assembly. Then placing the self-sterilizing assembly in a microwave oven. Then heating the self-sterilizing assembly in a microwave oven for a time sufficient to sterilize the self-sterilizing assembly.
Bottle assembly
A bottle assembly includes a container having an open end, a closed end, a base portion, and a neck together defining a liquid chamber within the container. The neck has a rim defining the open end of the container. The bottle assembly also includes a collar assembly generally defining a closure for the container. The collar assembly is configured for releasable engagement with the neck of the container over the open end thereof. The collar assembly includes a collar and a nipple. The bottle assembly further includes a cap including a closed end, an open end, and a side wall extending between the closed end and the open end together defining an interior. The cap is configured for releasable engagement with the collar assembly such that the nipple is received within the interior of the cap. In some embodiments, the bottle assembly includes a vent assembly positionable at least in part on the rim of the container to permit venting of the container during use.
FORMULA AND POWDER MIXING ASSEMBLY
Described herein is a baby bottle formula mixing and feeding assembly designed to be coupled to a standard baby feeding bottle or powder mixing bottle. The formula mixing assembly is designed to include at least four main components: a bottom housing, a cylindrical gate body, a top housing and a cylindrical pliable cup body disposed within the top/bottom housing. A locking mechanism is included that unlocks the top housing and the gate body containing the pliable cup body and the formula, such that the apertures in the gate body align with the apertures in the bottom housing to when the top housing is rotated so as to empty the formula contents into the bottle with the liquid. e both the bottom housing and the gate body.
Heat seal pouch and method of use thereof
A heat seal pouch includes a bag, a cylinder, a partition assembly, and an outer skeleton frame. The bag is configured to hold a provided liquid. The cylinder is configured to hold a provided powder. The partition assembly is between the bag and the cylinder. The partition assembly is operable to form an openable partition in a bottom of the cylinder for selectively separating the cylinder from the bag. The outer skeleton frame is configured to house and seal the bag, the cylinder and the partition assembly. Whereby the heat seal pouch is configured for storing, transporting and selectively mixing the provided powder with the provided liquid.
A DEVICE FOR QUICK PREPARATION OF BEVERAGES WITH REGULATED TEMPERATURE
A device for preparing a beverage comprises a bottle, which includes the teat, a container, and a heating chamber. The bottle nests within the heating chamber and the container is connected to the neck of the bottle. At the bottom of the heating chamber is a heating element and an electrical circuit and all required elements for heating a bottle in the heating chamber. The heating chamber provides instant or constant heating of fluid in the bottle. Preparation of the beverage may include detaching the bottle from the heating chamber, opening the container to allow powder to drop into the bottle with the fluid, and shaking the bottle to dissolve the powder in the fluid.
INFANT FORMULA PREPARATION APPARATUS
An assembly for dispensing a substance into a receptacle, the assembly comprising: a) a first portion connected to an opening of the receptacle; b) a chamber for containing the substance, the chamber being at least partly located within the first portion; c) a seal located below the chamber, the seal retaining the substance in the chamber; d) a removable stop member; and wherein removal of the stop member enables the chamber to be moved downwardly to cause the seal to open and release the substance into the receptacle.
Dispenser
A kit of parts for a feeder has a body and a bung that can slide within the body. A periphery of the bung can form a sliding seal between that periphery and the internal side walls of the body. A base cap has an aperture and is mountable at a lower end of the body to substantially occlude that end and allow airflow through the aperture into the body as the bung moves away. The kit has a teat mouthpiece for liquid foods, a sipper mouthpiece for pureed food, and a spout mouthpiece for mashed food and a pump attachment. The pump attachment has a pump and a spoon. The pump has a pump bung which moves reciprocatingly within the body and forms a sliding seal with the internal side walls.
