A camera captures an image of a work region in which an upper table and a lower table carry out a bending process in a press brake main body, and outputs a captured image. A distance measuring device detects a distance to an object present in the captured image and generates distance data in which the object and the distance are associated with each other. An image processing device generates, based on the distance data, a gaze image obtained by cutting out, from the captured image, a gaze object that is an object to be gazed at within the work region, and outputs the gaze image to a target device usable by a user.

Mold for press brake

A mold for a press brake includes an upper mold that is mountable on an upper table and a lower mold mountable on a lower table in a press brake. The upper mold and the lower mold vertically face each other and have respective pressurizing surfaces. The respective pressurizing surfaces are superposed with each other in a pressing direction so as to define a wedge shaped recess between the respective pressurizing surfaces. The respective pressurizing surfaces are configured to pressurize a workpiece positioned between the respective pressurizing surfaces. Further, one of the pressurizing surfaces is formed as a level surface and the other is formed as an inclined surface. The upper mold includes a V-shaped workpiece bending portion that can freely enter into a bending groove provided in the lower mold, and the respective pressurizing surfaces are positioned outside of the bending groove of the lower mold.

Divided tool attachment method and press brake

Different divided tools are attached to tool attachment portions using automatic tool changers in proximity to slit tools that have already been attached to tool attachment portions. The attached different divided tools are moved toward the previously attached divided tools using the automatic tool changers, and the different divided tools are caused to abut on the previously attached divided tools. In a case in which a torque of a servomotor for moving the automatic tool changers in a left-right direction has reached a setting value set in advance, the different divided tools are detected to have abutted on the previously attached divided tools, and the moving of the different divided tools is stopped.

Tool for press brake

A tool for a press brake includes a tool main body, an attachment portion formed on a base end side of the tool main body and configured to be detachably attached to a tool installation portion of the press brake by using a tool changer, and a bending portion formed on a distal end side of the tool main body and used to bend a plate-shaped workpiece. An engagement hole having a circular cross-sectional shape to be engaged with a bar-shaped finger of the tool changer extends through the tool main body in a thickness direction. An anti-rotation bottomed depressed portion configured to receive a distal end of an anti-rotation member of the tool changer is formed in a vicinity of the engagement hole.

Die set and working method using the die set

A die set for bending a metal plate workpiece includes a lower die for placing the workpiece, an upper die having a pressing surface which presses the workpiece toward the lower die by movement, a lower movable part provided in the lower die and being slidable in the same direction as the direction of the upper die movement, and a gas spring elastically supporting the lower movable part from below. The pressing surface of the upper die is moved, contacts with the upper surface of the workpiece and presses the workpiece toward the lower die. The lower movable part being elastically supported by the gas spring from below brings an opposing surface into contact with the lower surface of the workpiece and makes the upper die to be close to the lower die while applying force in the upward which is opposite direction of the upper die movement.

A punch assembly with interchangeable tips includes a punch body and a punch tip releasably coupled to the punch body. The punch body includes a proximal end, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and a cross-sectional shape defined between the proximal end and the distal end. The punch tip is coupled to the distal end of the punch body via a magnetic coupling provided by a plurality of magnets. The punch tip includes a working surface and a coupling member. The distal end of the punch body engages the coupling member of the punch tip in a tongue-in-groove arrangement wherein the plurality of magnets are provided within a tongue and cupped within a groove.

The invention relates to a folding machine for folding an object, using a measurement system for measuring an angle between a first plane through a first surface area and a second plane through a second surface area of an object. The system includes a sensor arrangement for measuring the coordinates in a measurement coordinate system of a plurality of measurement spots in the first surface area, and an inclinometer for measuring an inclination of the measurement coordinate system to the direction opposite to the direction of the force of gravity. The measurement system also includes a processing device for determining the angle between the first plane and the second plane based on the measured coordinates of the plurality of measurement spots, the measured inclination and information on the angle between the second plane and the direction opposite to the force of gravity.

A tool changer includes a slider provided behind (or in front of) a table of a press brake, and configured to slide in a right-left direction along a tool installation part of the table, a finger provided in the slider, and configured to be inserted into an engagement hole extending through a tool and to move in a front-rear direction, and an engagement member configured to be protruded and retracted relative to an outer peripheral surface of the finger on a tip side, and to be engaged with a peripheral edge portion of the engagement hole of the tool (or an inner stepped portion formed at an intermediate position of the engagement hole).

A system for forming a metal strip into a die having a predetermined shape through a series of forming operations is described herein. The system includes a base configured to support the metal strip as the metal strip undergoes the series of forming operations; a feeding device configured to advance the metal strip between each forming operation of the series of forming operations and grip the metal strip during each forming operation; a bending device configured to bend a portion of the metal strip extending from the feeding device as one of the series of forming operations; a forming head configured to house a pair of forming tools and provide features to the portion of the metal strip extending from the feeding device as one of the series of forming operations using the one or more forming tools; a robotic arm configured to selectively provide the one or more forming tools to the forming head; and a computing unit in communication with the robotic arm and configured to transmit a control signal to cause the robotic arm to retrieve the pair of forming tools and provide the pair of forming tools to the forming head.
