The invention relates to a lower tool (1) having a longitudinal-offset measuring device (2), which lower tool (1) is part of a bending tool arrangement for use in a bending press. The lower tool (1) has a tool body (3) having a longitudinal extension (4), in which longitudinal extension (4) a bending recess (5) is provided. The bending recess (5) extends from an upper flat side (6) of the tool body (3) into the latter and is formed at least by two contact surfaces (7). The transition from the upper flat side (6) into the bending recess (5) forms a contact edge (8), which contact edge (8) forms a contact line (9) in the longitudinal extension (4). A sensor (10) for determining a longitudinal offset (18) is arranged in the region of the contact line (9), wherein a sensing portion (11) of the sensor (10) is oriented in the direction of a metal sheet (16) to be bent.

An electronic angle measuring device for a bending machine for measuring the bending angle between the legs (4) of a sheet (5) using a sensor element (7) is described, which supplies angle-equivalent signals in a contactless manner to a signal processing unit (9), which has a microprocessor and a memory unit and is connected to a digital display (10). To provide simple measuring conditions, it is proposed that the sensor element (7), the signal processing unit (9), and the display (10) form an angle measuring device (6) which is fastenable on the upper tool (1) of the bending machine and is usable as a handheld encoder, and which has a motion sensor (11), which is connected to the signal processing unit (9) and detects the lowering and/or raising movement of the upper tool (1), for triggering the measuring procedure.

An electronic angle measuring device for measuring the bending angle between the legs (4) of a metal sheet (5) having a sensor element (7) which delivers angle-equivalent signals in a contact-free manner to a signal processing device (9) comprising a microprocessor and a memory unit which is connected to a digital display (10) is described. In order to create advantageous measurement conditions, it is proposed that a sensor element (7) which deflects a laser beam through a rotating mirror onto the two legs (4) of the metal sheet (5) and which forms a measured value from the reflection beam received in the emission direction, the signal processing device (9) with the microprocessor and the memory unit as well as the digital display (10) form an angle measuring device (6) which can be fastened to an upper tool (1) of a bending machine and which can be used as a manual measuring device (6).

The invention relates to a bending press (1) for bending workpieces, comprising an upper tool (2) and a lower tool (3), a tool holder (4), in which the upper tool (2) is inserted, and a tool holder (5), in which the lower tool (3) is inserted, wherein the upper tool (2) and the lower tool (3) can be fixed in various positions within the respective tool holder (4, 5), a control device (13) for controlling the bending press (1), a sensor device (8), which is connected to the control device (13), and a stop (6) for positioning the workpiece within the bending press (1), wherein the stop (6) can be moved in relation to the tools (2, 3) by means of a drive (9) controlled by the control device (13). The sensor device (8) is designed to detect the position of the upper tool (2) and of the lower tool (3) within the bending press (1) without contact, and the control device (13) is designed to adapt the movement process by means of which the stop (6) is positioned in relation to the tools (2, 3), in dependence on the position of the upper tool (2) and of the lower tool (3) detected by means of the sensor device (8).
Press brake and method of operating press brake
There is provided a press brake that can improve forming accuracy in partial bending. A press brake includes: a conveying mechanism that intermittently conveys a workpiece; a die including a pair of shoulder portions and a groove portion located between the pair of shoulder portions, the pair of shoulder portions being arranged away from each other in a conveying direction of the workpiece and supporting a rear surface of the workpiece; a backup plate that extends on the pair of shoulder portions, covers the groove portion, and is interposed between the die and the workpiece; and a punch that moves relative to the die so as to approach the die each time the conveying mechanism stops conveying the workpiece and presses the workpiece so as to bend the workpiece within an elastic deformation region of the backup plate.
Bending machine for bending workpieces, in particular a press brake
A bending machine for bending workpieces is disclosed. The bending machine includes a lower beam and an upper beam for forming a workpiece by bending along a bending line. A tool holder for receiving bending tools is provided on the lower beam and each end of the tool holder is associated with a recessed region which is formed in the lower beam overlapping with the respective end. The lower beam includes a central element and at least one side element arranged adjacent to one another in the thickness direction of the lower beam. Recessed regions are provided in the central element and/or in the width direction adjacent to the central element. The lower beam also includes a central region in which, during a bending operation of a workpiece, a force is introduced via the tool holder both into the central element and into the at least one side element.
