Appartus and method for steering metal pipe during grooving process
An apparatus for steering a metal pipe during a roll grooving process including a clamp to be secured to a static structure of a grooving press spaced apart from a rotating cylinder of the grooving press, a pair of spaced parallel rods slidably disposed through spaced openings of the clamp, a handle affixed to first ends of the pair of spaced parallel rods distal from the rotating cylinder, and a guiding tool affixed to second ends of the pair of spaced parallel rods proximate to the rotating cylinder carrying spaced rollers adapted to contact an outer surface of a metal pipe during a roll grooving process to apply a force against the metal pipe. A method for applying a force against a metal pipe during a roll grooving process.
SINGLE BENDING DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUS THREE-DIMENSIONAL BENDING
A single bending device for continuous three-dimensional bending has a rotating and feeding holder for holding a workpiece, a bending roller assembly having multiple rollers being different in radius, a pressing roller head for bending the workpiece. The bending roller assembly can be moved to allow one predetermined roller to abut against the workpiece. Then the workpiece can be bent by the pressing roller head pushing the workpiece along the predetermined roller. Thus, as long as a different one of the rollers corresponds in position to the workpiece, a bending portion having a different curvature can be formed on the workpiece. Moreover, by controlling the moving length of the pressing roller head along the workpiece, the arc length of each bending portion of the workpiece can be controlled accordingly. It is not necessary to replace the jigs and the dies repeatedly.
BENDER FOR BENDING A WORKPIECE WITH AUTOMATIC SPRINGBACK COMPENSATION
A bender configured to bend a workpiece in a bending operation and its method of use are provided. The bender includes a frame, a bending shoe assembly rotatably mounted on the frame, a control system and a driver in communication therewith, and a springback assembly in communication with the control system and configured to provide information to the control system regarding information on a bend affected to the workpiece. The bending shoe assembly includes a bending shoe into which the workpiece can be seated, and a gripping member mounted on the bending shoe and configured to grip the workpiece during the bending operation. The driver provides rotational force to the bending shoe assembly to rotate the bending shoe assembly relative to the frame.
Conduit offset bender
A conduit offset bender preferably includes an upper die, a lower die, a first guide plate, a second guide plate, a force transfer plate, two compression springs and an actuation device. The upper die includes an upper die base, a first pair of lugs, a second pair of lugs, a first boss flange and a second boss flange. The lower die includes a lower die base, two first lower boss flanges and two second lower boss flanges. Larger and smaller offset grooves are formed in the upper and lower dies. The two compression springs are retained in spring counterbores formed in the upper and lower boss flanges. A bottom of the first and second guide plates are attached to the lower die base. The actuation device includes a first handle plate, a second handle plate, a pressure roller, a cam roller, a pivot pin and a retention pin.
TUBE BENDER
A tube bender is provided, including: a fixation portion, configured to be held by a fixation base; a plurality of bending portions, connected with the fixation portion, each of the plurality of bending portions has a circumferential guiding face, at least two of curvature of radiuses of the circumferential guiding faces of the plurality of bending portions are different.
BENDING MACHINE FOR BENDING ROD-SHAPED OR TUBULAR WORKPIECES
A bending machine for elongated workpieces, comprising a bending tool with a bending head having a bending disc with a bending groove and two slide rails, each having a molding groove and which can be placed laterally against opposing sides of the workpiece. Each slide rail is secured to a support part and laterally supports the workpiece from where the workpiece is fed into the bending groove to a point in front of the bending groove when the slide rail is resting against the workpiece. Each support part is adjustable between a starting position, in which the slide rail does not rest against the workpiece, and a final position, in which the slide rail contacts the workpiece. Upon contacting the workpiece, the other slide rail assumes its starting position. The support parts are attached to a two-arm lever, and a slide piece rests against the workpiece in each lever position.
POWERED BENDER
An assembly for bending a conduit and a portable conduit bender. The assembly may generally include a portable bender including a base having a base surface supportable on a work surface, a housing supported by the base and defining a housing axis, the housing including a handle engageable by an operator to carry the bender, and a shoe supported by the housing for pivoting movement about the housing axis, the shoe defining a channel for supporting a conduit to be bent; and a pipe threader removably supported by the housing, the threader being operable to pivotably drive the shoe relative to the housing to bend the conduit.
Method of bending a conduit
A method of bending a conduit is disclosed. An engagement member is displaced via contact with the conduit and engages a switch. A signal is sent to a microprocessor indicative of a characteristic of the conduit to be bent, in response to engagement of the switch. The microprocessor provides a motor control signal to the motor to control a rotation of the shoe, wherein rotation of the shoe bends the conduit.
BENDER HAVING A SENSOR CONFIGURED TO SENSE A WORKPIECE
A bender includes a rotatable bending shoe having at least one channel therein configured to receive a workpiece, a seat proximate to the bending shoe which is configured to receive the workpiece thereon, and a sensor provided on the seat which is configured to sense the presence of the workpiece. In some embodiments, the sensor is configured to sense an end of the workpiece.
Follower bar assembly for a bender
A bender includes a rotatable bending shoe having a plurality of channels therein configured to receive a workpiece and a follower assembly. The follower assembly includes a mount, a follower bar attached to the mount, the follower bar having a plurality of channels therein configured to receive the workpiece, a roller attached to the mount and engaged against the follower bar, the roller having an eccentric shaft extending therefrom, and a motor for rotating the shaft and roller, wherein rotation of the shaft and roller causes the follower bar to translate toward or away from the bending shoe. A drive member can be provided to move the mount toward or away from the bending shoe.
