Tree cabling system for roof decks

A tree anchoring apparatus, a tree anchoring kit and a method of anchoring of a tree on a roof deck is provided consisting of three tree cabling systems attached to a tree. Each tree cabling system can exist in one of two states, depending on whether there is slack in the system or whether there is resistance due to movement of the tree from a vertical position to a horizontal position. In a wind event that causes the tree to move from a vertical position to a horizontal position, one or more of the tree cabling systems will experience resistance that keeps the tree in a horizontal position. When the wind event is over, the tree can be returned to a vertical position.

SUPPORT KITS, EQUIPMENT AND METHODS FOR PLANTS

Some embodiments relate to a kit for forming a plant support. The kit may comprise: a plurality of polymer ring strips, each formable into a respective ring; a plurality of polymer stake sleeves, each sleeve defining an elongate channel to receive a stake therethrough and each sleeve defining a plurality of slots sized to receive at least a portion of a respective ring strip therethrough, the slots being defined at spaced locations along a sleeve length of each sleeve; and a plurality of polymer stakes, each stake being sized to fit through the elongate channel and having a stake length greater than the sleeve length, wherein each stake has a first end and an opposite second end, and wherein a lengthwise rigidity of the stake is sufficient to cooperate with the sleeves and ring strips to form the plant support when the first ends of the stakes are submerged in soil along with at least a portion of the sleeves.

Arbor Stake Stabilization Member

An arbor stake stabilization member is disclosed. In one embodiment of the arbor stake stabilization member, a body includes an annular ring of a biodegradable material having an axial passageway therethrough. A locking member is coupled to the annular ring and extends radially inward into the axial passageway. A plate of a biodegradable material extends circumferentially outwardly from the annular ring. The perforated plate includes multiple openings. In use, the arbor stake stabilization member may be placed underground and on or above a rootball of a tree. The locking member is sized to accept an arbor stake therethrough in an interference fit. The arbor stake may extend from the top of the rootball through the rootball and into the undisturbed soil at a point below the rootball. Over time, the arbor stake stabilization member biodegrades.
