Method for molding screw thread of metal pipe
After holding a metal pipe 10 using a clamping die 5, a primary formed portion 11a corresponding to the preforming surface portion 5c is formed on the metal pipe 10 by pressing an end portion of the metal pipe 10 with a pressing die 6 in a direction of a cylinder center line C1. A final formed portion 11b is formed on the metal pipe 10 by moving an outer forming die 7 to press an outer circumferential surface of the metal pipe 10 with the outer forming die 7 after aligning a rib portion 7c with the primary formed portion 11a, while moving an inner forming die 8 to press an inner circumferential surface of the metal pipe 10 with the inner forming die 8 after aligning a recessed groove portion 8c with the primary formed portion 11a.
Press fitting and use thereof
A press fitting, including a tubular component and an end portion of the tubular component which can be compressed to make a connection. The end portion has an opening to receive a tube and a first region having an annular ridge to receive a sealing ring. A second region is arranged on the side of the ridge adjacent the opening and a third region is arranged on the side of the ridge remote from the opening. The overall wall thickness of the press fitting in the second region is increased at least in a section or sections in comparison with the wall thickness of the tubular component in the third region.
Header for a Heat Exchanger, and Method of Making the Same
A header for a heat exchanger includes a first and a second cylindrical portion. The first cylindrical portion has a first diameter, and extends over a first length portion of the header. The second cylindrical portion has a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter, and extends over a second length portion of the header. Tube receiving slots are arranged along the first length portion. An end cap is received into an open end of the first cylindrical portion, and is joined thereto to seal a first end of the header. An open end of the second cylindrical portion is arranged at a second end of the header opposite the first end to allow for fluid flow into or out of the header. A circumferential bead is located between the first and second cylindrical portions, and extends radially outward of the first cylindrical portion.
BUSHING FOR THE CONNECTION OF TWO TUBULAR ELEMENTS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A bushing for the connection of two tubular elements has an outer coupling and an inner sleeve, which is axially locked inside the outer coupling, is provided with a plurality of annular teeth projecting towards the inside of the bushing relative to a lateral wall of the inner sleeve, and also has a plurality of annular recesses, which are obtained at an outer surface of the lateral wall.
SHAPING TOOL FOR A WORKPIECE, AND DEVICE FOR DEFORMING A WORKPIECE USING SUCH A TOOL
A shaping tool for shaping a portion of a workpiece. The shaping tool includes a clamping assembly with a clamping device having multiple clamping segments and a compressing head having a depression on one end for forming a portion of the workpiece. The compression head including an attachment feature on the opposing side for connecting to a shaping piston of a shaping assembly. The compression head and the clamping device being structurally connected in a circumferential manner as a single tool unit and are arranged on a common longitudinal axis together with the shaping assembly, which is actuated by fluid pressure and together with the clamping assembly.
END FORMING TOOL FOR FORMING A PROTRUSION ON A TUBE
An end forming tool assembly, including a body including a through-hole extending in a first axial direction, a plunger slidingly engaged with the first hole, a clamp, a first arm pivotably connected to the body, the first arm operatively arranged to engage the clamp, and a die connected to the plunger, and wherein when the plunger is displaced in the first axial direction the first arm applies a force to the clamp.
