A press mold includes: a lower die; an upper die; a lower holding unit including lower main pads and lower sub-pads respectively installed to be movable in an upper-lower direction on the lower body through first and second cushion springs, respectively, at an edge of a lower forming steel; an upper holding unit including upper main pads integrally connected to an edge of an upper forming steel in correspondence with the lower main pads and upper sub-pads installed to be respectively movable in the upper body in the upper-lower direction through third cushion springs at the edge of the upper forming steel in correspondence with the lower sub-pads; and a gap control assembly installed in a lower main block connected to the lower main pads to form a gap set between the lower main blocks and the upper sub-blocks connected to the upper sub-pads.

Hold device

A hold device is attached to press tooling. The hold device includes a distance member attached to a holder, and a moving device attached to a first die unit. The holder is provided in a movable manner with respect to a punch in a press direction, and a pad is provided in a movable manner with respect to a die in the press direction. The distance member is pivotable between a home position in which the distance member does not come into contact with the second die and a preventive position in which the distance between the pad and the holder in the press direction is prevented from being equal to or less than a predetermined distance. As the holder moves relative to the punch in the first direction, the moving device causes the distance member to pivot from the home position toward the preventive position.

Hold device

A hold device is attached to press tooling. The hold device includes a distance member attached to a holder, and a moving device attached to a first die unit. The holder is provided in a movable manner with respect to a punch in a press direction, and a pad is provided in a movable manner with respect to a die in the press direction. The distance member is pivotable between a home position in which the distance member does not come into contact with the second die and a preventive position in which the distance between the pad and the holder in the press direction is prevented from being equal to or less than a predetermined distance. As the holder moves relative to the punch in the first direction, the moving device causes the distance member to pivot from the home position toward the preventive position.

Disclosed is an ultra-low temperature medium pressure forming method for complex curved-shaped components. The method includes steps of distributing a blank by die closing preforming and forming the complex curved-shaped components by ultra-low temperature medium pressurization, comprising: placing a plate on a female die and tightly pressing the plate by a blank holder; driving a male die to move downwards to make the plate distribute the blank in advance in a large-area mode, thus forming a prefabricated plate blank; filling a cavity with an ultra-low temperature medium to make the prefabricated plate blank be gradually attached to a molded surface of a female die cavity under the pressure action of the ultra-low temperature medium, and thereby forming the complex curved-shaped component; and removing the male die blank holder and taking out the formed complex curved-shaped component.

STAMPING MACHINE AND METHOD INCLUDING VARIABLE BINDER GAP

A stamping machine configured to shape a sheet material including an upper binder including first teeth, a lower binder including second teeth, and a punch. A first cylinder is positioned between a lower binder and a support surface. A second cylinder is positioned between the upper binder and the lower binder. A cushion pin is positioned at the support surface that is configured to contact and control movement of the lower binder relative to the punch. A force exerted by the second cylinder is greater than that exerted by the first cylinder, and the force exerted by the cushion pin is greater than that exerted by the second cylinder. The first and second cylinders and the cushion pin are used to control when the first and second teeth are permitted to engage the sheet material, which assists in preventing or minimizing spring back of the sheet material through post-stretching.

One embodiment is a forming machine including a positioning system to move a forming member and mandrel relative to one another for forming a shaped part, and a sensor disposed between the forming member and the mandrel. A forming controller obtains a first coordinate position of the forming member and the mandrel in position to produce a target baseline parameter at the sensor prior to placement of a part over the mandrel. The forming controller calculates a second coordinate position of the forming member and the mandrel for forming the part based on the first coordinate position and a thickness of the part. After placement of the part over the mandrel, the forming controller directs the positioning system to move the forming member and the mandrel to the second coordinate position to shape the part.

A surface of the lower die that sandwiches the sandwiching region is provided with one or more ridgelines for forming bends. The ridgelines are set at positions such that, when the bending is complete, the position of the top sheet portion is located on the vertical wall portion side rather than the positions of the ridgelines.
